You mean to tell me that most asians aren't capable of flying using their aura and launching energy blasts capable of destroying the entire solar system? Colour me shocked.

I didn't mind the new Darkspawn look so much, though I did prefer the old style. They just looked more evil. But they do now more closely resemble how they're described in the books, of which I'm a big fan. So...I'm fine with either way, I guess.

I cannot get used to the elves, however. I agree that it's nice they have a different silhouette now, and I definitely like that their ears are much more pronounced now. However, the tall, lanky look bothers me. They look bird-like and emaciated. I don't mind the larger eyes, but the bridge-less noses and oddly-shaped faces was too much for my liking. Additionally, one of the traits I've loved about elves traditionally is that they're short, so you have this tiny badass jumping around. Now, they're tiny only in bone structure, and are just as tall as humans. There are a few elves in the game that look okay, but the majority made me cringe.

If they wanted to go with a different silhouette and art style for the elves, I would suggest not making it *quite* so drastically different from before. Keep them short, give them bigger ears and eyes, and keep their bodies looking strong and able. My Warden was an elf, and I cringe to think that she's no longer a tiny strong badass, but now would be morphed into a tall, creepy alien bird.

I have been known to do these things... My hair also turns spiky gold when I yell.B)

I don't mind the new darkspawn, frankly I think they are also more appropriate.  Less Uruk-Hai~ish and more corrupted human~ish.

I personally like the new elves. They're human-like but don't look like humans.

Just accept it like how Klingons changed in Star Trek only because Roddenberry had a bigger budget to work with later.

Though maybe the elves are too lanky. I understand why they were changed. Elves in origins were only shorter and had a slightly different face shape. This was because they were having to wear the same armor as the others. Though they mapped slightly different they couldn't be extremely different. Though a male or female dwarf wearing the armor was very warped. Elves were just kind of smaller. Even Sten had to have a closer to human body shape. He was just larger. No one seems to complain about the Qunari change as much.

They've turned dwarves into a bit of a joke. Most look more like gnomes now.

I wish I could see Bhelen in the new style.

The dwarves are a massive improvement, in DA:O they had thin stubby legs and arms that were disproportionately long to their body size, kind of made them look like small shaved gorillas. Now their proportions are more accurate and they actually look like short stocky humanoids.

In the end I think all the new models for npcs are good. Just the elves could maybe have been a little less lanky. The Qunari and Dwarves were a huge improvement.

I think the darkspawn look terrible.
The qunari I've gotten used to but would still prefer they were clothed and properly armored.
I actually do like the new elf design.
And dwarves, well aside from Varric all the DA2 dwarves look awful. They really need to bring back the old DA:O dwarven skull shape.

The Qunari look cool It just seems hard to associate Sten with Qunari now. I wish they had a ocuple of hornless qunari and women in DA2
