No multiplayer
No paragon humanism
None of Harbinger's stupid one liners

No multiplayer or co-op. Of course, people will feel justified to flame me and/or troll me for this statement, but I don't care, as long as ME3 has no multiplayer/co-op, I'll be happy. Besides, I'd rather Bioware take their 100+ people and have them focus entirely on a good single player campaign as opposed to having some people on the side working on a tacked on multiplayer/co-op component.

No Multi-player. That is enough for me.

They need to scrap the whole "You can control only one squad member. The others are just filler" idea. Let us control all three (or however many they're letting you bring this time around) And if they're doing this, I have nothing to complain about. ME2 was great. EVERYTHING was great. I Just didn't like how you could only control Shepherd.

are you insane!

i love only controlling sheperd because i love his character.

not like stupid dragon age where i die then i go to so person i dont even like....

i have been praying for a RPG to not have you change characters and ME delivered it if they add it im would be really dissapointed.

plus the game is all about sheperd not his little tactical team

What I don't want is to be limited in exploration on missions. Why do doors keep closing and locking behind me on every mission? I would like to go back and grab that Medigel I saved thank you! On some missions it makes sense, DCS for example, but most missions just leave the damned doors open!

The Independence Day quality writing that's been plaguing the main plot after Mass1. No friggin' "MAYBE IT'S FULLY EVOLVED" or "LET'S END THIS!". (the caps are to depict the level of retardation those lines hold)
Why is it that all these modern RPGs have a main story that's like way inferior to the subplots? I blame the forced seriousness and craving for EPIC stories that are bigger than our lives and yet somehow seem to feel incredibly shallow, dull and predictable. "You are the only one who can X" -that's the mood killer.

No to the following, know I'm going to get flamed for the first one but oh well.

  •  The whole ME2 squad minus Garrus and Joker.
  • Stupid outfits during battles, Why is shepard, garrus, and grunt the only people with a brain to wear armor in a battle.
  • No New ship.
  • No loyalty missions.
  • NO WORKING FOR CERBERUS!!
  • No freelancing Shepard, I still want him to work under a group of people that still give him the range to take care of things his way. Like the Alliance, or have him become souly a Spectre serving with the Citadel fleet.
  • I do not want another cheesey 1980's video game final boss where its duck and cover and hit the "weak spots" type of a fight for the end of the game.  THIS IS THE FINAL I REPEAT THE FINAL CONCLUSION TO THE STORY OF CMDR SHEPARD AND THE REAPERS. THIS ENDING MUST BE EPIC!!!!! LIKE THE ENDING TO THE FIRST GAME WHICH IN MY OPINION WAS THE MOST EPIC CONCLUSION TO A STORY EVER! THIS CAN NOT BE CHEESEY LIKE THE ME2 ENDING WITH A NINTENDO FIGHTING GAME FEEL TO IT. THE CINEMATICS MUST BE EPIC AND EMOTIONAL. GIVE THE PLAYER A FEELING OF OH MAN.... FINALLY.... ITS OVER...
  • In all seriousness, this is my favorite video game ever. And yes I'm a big FPS but this series is by far my favorite story game of all time. DO NOT! Make this a let down like Halo 3.

[*]Halo 3 a let down? Not in my book. Anyway back on topic I agree with your ending comment in bold but that's all I agree with. Well except a new Normandy. I want the same ship, squad and everything from ME 2 including the Cerberus part.

I wouldn't mind a side mission for a squadmate here or there, like the ME1 personal quests were, but i wouldn't want a game where half of it is recruiting and earning their trust. If they did that, it would basically just nullify more than half of ME2. I mean we spent that game building a badass squad to take on the reapers, they better all be back and pre-loyal, ready to kick some ass.

Also,
  • No New Characters!
At most, maybe 1 recruitable character to replace someone who might of died in ME2 and is necessary for victory against the reapers.
  • No more calibrations!
I never liked to play any side missions or anything after i beat the game, because everything with your squad is dead and gone. They just become mindless workers at their stations, blowing you off if you try to talk to them. Maybe if they walked around or had banter with the squad/crew the Normandy wouldn't feel like a ghost ship after you beat the final boss.

And most importantly,
  • No compromises!
If you want to silence the doubters, and blow away the competition for years to come, please go all out on this game. ME2 set a high standard as far as ratings go. Anything not within a few points of that game will be a disapointment for many people.

I think the problem with not wanting a host of new charachters is for those people that killed off all but 2 of their own characters. even with the return of his old squad, thats still 5 party members and Shepard. Is that enough?

Then again, could prove a sort of punishment for previous actions... yeah. dunno where I'm going with this.

I most emphatically don't want to see a dystopian ending to the trilogy. This would be Earth getting destroyed, Shepard dying by script, any Virmire-esque situations where squadmates are killed by script, destruction of the mass relay network, or civilization being so damaged by the Reapers that space travel tech is lost.

Also, to win the game, Shepard should not have to sacrifice himself, his team, or his ship or subject himself to some kind of crazy Reaper tech that changes him forever into something else.

I want the canon ending to the trilogy to be a happy one if, for no other reason, so additional content can be written in the ME universe whether it's books or another series of games.

1.) Multiplayer.
2.) Multiplayer.
3.) Multiplayer.

While I do agree that the main trilogy should not have multiplayer, I wouldn't mind a multiplayer/co-op focused spin-off.

Actually, I think if Mass Effect 4 was a coop oriented MP game, that would be awesome.  I just don't think it's appropriate for ME3.

Also don't want former team mates killed by script at the beginning to make room for new squadmates. New squadmates should be limited to 2, maybe three characters. Other than that, keep the old crew from ME1 and ME2.

I don't mind the rest, but no Mako or Hammerhead. Urgh. Those missions were so painful, I hated them with a passion.

Don't want:

- multiplayer modes
- less focus on RPG elements
- ridiculous outfits on away missions
- a game world that feels less cohesive because of all the loading and mission complete screens
- too much auto-dialogue (as seen in LotSB and Arrival)

-linear, restrictive level design
-hammerhead level design and combat (which means insta hitting enemies and care less rocket spam)
-too many squad mates with too little world and npc interaction
-no armor customization for squadmates
-helmets in stupid situations, no helmets/fullsuits in hazardous environments
-small selection of weapons where the new one always outperforms every other weapon of the type
-no equipment modding
-tiny selection of abilities
-grouping health, speed, cooldown and damage variables in into one power!
-flying a toy normandy on the galaxy map
-no zooming out on the galaxy map
-shepard acting without promp
-the game playing it self, picking new locations etc.
-loading screens every few steps
-minigames that never become any harder
-no economy
-too restrictive barrier/shield/armor system for certain powers making them useless
-no ability to go back into the shuttle and abort a mission
-2D skybox textures trying to replace every distant environment
-Normandy crew that never interacts on the ship (no meeting etc.)

There are a lot things I would like from ME2 however, it's not all bad ;)

I pretty much agree on these. Loading screens don't bother me but I'm not fond of scripted dialogue at all, and the idea of multiplayer is abhorrent.

- I DON'T want ME2.5.  I am SO afraid that this is what we'll see from the third game.
- I DON'T want LINEAR mission design, at least in the side quests.  Give me back my open worlds and let me CHOOSE  where I want to go in it!!!
- I DON'T want a paper maché vehicle with a cheese-ball heat meter on the back of it..  Improve the Mako or Hammerhead and make the thing feel like an authentic war fighting vehicle.
- I DON'T want any more heat clips for my weapons.  Let us manage the heat with the meter like in ME1.
- I DON'T want any more crew loyalty missions (at least from any squadmates carrying over from the first two games).  I'd like to focus on recruiting help in fighting the reapers on a LARGE scale.  ie Rachni, Geth, Quarians, etc.
- I DON'T want a clunky cover system like in ME2.  Streamline cover and make it feel natural.  It would feel VERY natural to take cover in a real firefight!  Some people probably liked it.  I would also be willing to bet that those people never played Splinter Cell:  Conviction.
- No holographic blue balls representing EDI.  Let's have a tasteful holographic representation of Tricia Helfer instead! ;)
- I DON'T want the same color scheme and associated Cerberus logos for the Normandy.  I want to customize the outer appearance of that bad actor!

-Oh yeah...and NO multiplayer!  This isn't freaking Halo!

-No shared walks/run/sit animations between male & female Shepard
-No silly dancing. Bring back Femshep's dance moves from ME1
-No multiplayer
-More robust vehicle
-No helmets where inappropriate (drinking, for example)
-No regular clothing for squad members during missions. Fine otherwise.
