In the middle of the night, Anders comes to ask Fenris for a little help with some slavers, and a rescue mission gone wrong. Anders would never have asked, but Hawke's life is on the line, and he doesn't have much of a choice--especially when Fenris has unique knowledge of Tevinter's slave trade.
The past hasn't been kind to either of these guys, but it's fun to put them head to head and see what happens.

Synopsis: Before The Last Stand, Aspasia Hawke left her journal for Varric to find. It chronicles Hawke's life from her last days in Lothering to the day of the final showdown between Meredith and Orsino. This fic basically provides me with a way to explain the backstory of some of the more complicated relationships and themes in Only Just a Dream while still keeping that plot moving forward. The chapters are formatted like diary entries so while there is some continuity, there's no real overarching plot beyond the general timeline and events that occur in-game.
