So I'm looking at this mod here:
http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=2363

I was wondering if I could put just some of the files in my override in such a way as to keep all magic/staff gibbing, but disable it for melee/archery.

Anyone know if that's possible/which files to use?

So... anyone?

I wanted to message the mod creator on the nexus, but it redirected me to some other forum where apparently my nexus account doesn't apply...

Yes, you can do it, and it won't cause any problems.

I don't know which files you'd want to remove, though. I'll take a look and see if I can figure it out.

[EDIT] The .gdas are full of numbers and no words, so I don't know what any of them mean. But I PMd the author of the mod, so if I hear back, I'll let you know :)

Ooh, thanks. :)

Yeah I tried opening one of them in the toolset, all I see is columns and rows and a bunch of numbers...

The full no-gibbing mod would also cause the victims of Walking Bomb to not animate with the full detonation, wouldn't it?

Does anyone have a breakdown of which file from this mod affects which gibbing? I'd like to have a few of the spells still cause catastrophic blowups.

I tried this mod and I didn't quite like it, so I tried removing it by deleting the NoMeleeExplosion folder from the override folder. Apparently it didn't work. I haven't seen a single gib ever since I did that.

So, I was wondering, when the game acceses the files in the override folder, do the main game files get influenced AT ALL by that? I mean, is it possible that the files in the game directory had been altered?

Which version did you install?

Kind of curious as to why you didn't like it...as it does exactly what it's supposed to and apparently works very well.
