How do I skip the maze fade scenario?

It seems I ended up in the fade and I have to help my companions get out. But this whole maze deal is confusing and boring the F out of me. Is there anyway to skip this?  I don't think I can endure this boredom.

I've been working 11 hour programming shifts and the last thing I want to do is stress my muscle memory even more Lawlz.

There is not.

If you wish to ask for specific walkthrough concerning the Fade level, please do so in the Spoilers Forum.

I can't believe you're bored by this level.

I think it's one of the most original experiences i've had in a game in a long time.

I just don't buy into the fact that the fade is a bunch of hallways with mouse holes.

god damn it this maze is driving me nuts. If i don't get out of the fade in 15 minutes I don't think I'm gonna be able to finish this game. The boredom is too strong.

It's not really much of a puzzle, Most of the off/side routes are to get "extra" "things". (which I recommend getting) If you don't want to bother though, just pick a direction and keep going round, 2 passes should be enough to unlock everything.

Once you get another form or two, it's much better.

Also...  Maze?  Really?

thank god. so i just skip from zone to zone until it just unlocks?

No amount of extra things is worth doing a dumb maze lol.

I suspect you are stuck in Templar's Nightmare? That place is the only zone in the Fade quest that feels like a maze. It is probably you have not gotten the form need to go forward. Go back to the Fade Pedestal and try another zone to get the form.

I don't understand the whole point of this place. How do I leave this place?  I go around and fight things then teleport to another zone then what?

Am i supposed to read a codec?

Maybe if you actually tried working through it yourself would be more fun and rewarding than coming back to the forums every 2 minutes asking for people to hold you hand and walk you through it.

The Maze is probably one of the most original bits if you don't feel this way and just want to breeze through stuff I suggest CoD: Modern Warfare.

When you encouter a maze, keep making the same turn. So, always go right, except when you don't have another choice and you will eventually find your way out.

Actually there is a maze mission in CoD MF2, it's allot of fun as you get shot from every possibler direction, whilst finding your way through the tight streets of Rio. :P

Basically almost every level of the fade has area's you can't get through without a proper form.

So if your way is blocked by fire - quest untill you get the form immune to fire, then go back through fire. Same goes for heavy things (hint you need a strong shape), small things (hint small shape) and invisible things (hint ethereal thing). Basically you should be able to finish the fade in a hour, 2 hours tops. It's not that difficult. It just requires a bit of thinking beyond hulk smash.

Here is a walktrough: http://www.gamefaqs....le/920668/58234

It's not nearly finished, but it covers the Fade.

And this topic should be in the spoilers forum.

The +2 (or more) to every stat makes this part to good to pass up, but I do agree - It is boring and predictable as hell. It was also very "da ja voo" (sp?). It is similar in style to a point in the nwn series. Going up the tower was taking it's toll on me as well - "Hum whats behind this door, oh look monsters". It was pretty mundane.

On of my favorite comments from Alistair was when (I think with the elves) I replied with "I suppose you want us to help with your troubles" and Alistair says "Hum, imagine that." So even Bioware knows the game is repetitive. But I still give the game thumbs up overall.

I don't want to start an argument, but this post is unreasonable. Not liking the Fade section doesn't make someone stupid. I hated the Fade level because it consisted of boring physical puzzles and wandering around a blocky maze, I prefer role-playing puzzles that have something to do with the plot. Does the fact that I prefer role-playing puzzles make me not suited to a role-playing game?

I don't feel like the maze was particularly original and fun, that does not mean I want to 'breeze through stuff'. I happened to enjoy DA overall despite the maze, and enjoyed the role-playing decisions I had to make during other quests. Turning into a mouse and clicking on a shrine to get a +1 to willpower or strength is not my idea of an awesome RPG experience. Dealing with a complex situation, talking to interesting characters and choosing one course of action out of many options, is what I call RPGing.

Telling people to go and play shooters because they have one critique of the game, is unfair. Even though my preferred genre is RPGs, I do dabble in other genres once in a while, and played the first CoD. You know what? It was a very good game. Doesn't mean all the enjoyment I've gained playing RPGs over the years suddenly disintegrates (whether it fails the saving throw vs. death or not). CoD was actually a very challenging game, especially on harder diffculties.

Oh and CoD: MW2 is out now, so if one wishes to tease 'dumb shooter fans', telling them to play CoD: Modern Warfare 2 would be more appropriate.

To the OP: Just slog through the level to access the rest of the awesome DA experience, the last stages of the Fade section are briefer and more role-playing focused (after you get through the six or so huge mazes).
