At least there wasn't a "Hey everyone! This store discriminates against mages!"

LOL.  I thought I was just asking for a discount like all the rest, too! =p

Sometimes aggressiveHawke is actually more appropriate/sensitive than sarcasticHawke too, like when you hand the bones over to Emeric or when Saemus is murdered.

Sarcastic Hawke is NEVER sensitive.  My sarcastic Hawke has endeared herself to me more than my aggressive or diplomatic Hawkes.  She is just unbelievably tactless and completely insane.  No one finds her funny at all, and I absolutely love it.  She's a nutcase.

And snarky Hawke has some of the weirdest and best lines.  Like the bone thing:

"Well if they aren't dead be on the look-out for a bunch of boneless women flopping through the streets"

So inappropriate, Hawke, you crazy, crazy weirdo.

I love everything that comes out of her loony mouth. Especially because the other characters tend to be like "WTF did you just say?" And I loved Bethany's "You're horrible!" reaction when Hawke gave those bones to Emeric. Hawke's strategy for coping in that crazy city is marvellous.

One unusual thing about aggressive Hawke is that you can be friendly with Isabela and yet whenever you initiate conversations with her in the Hanged Man, the game makes you say stuff like "sober up so we can talk!" Then the conversation just continues as normal, like nothing happened, with no effect on your friendship status.

It was cool that in that one quest where you're looking for Orlesian cargo, you could only successfully intimidate that NPC into giving you the information if you're an aggressive Hawke (or yell "Fire!" to make the guards run away if you're sarcastic Hawke). Sadly, that feature was hardly used. I would have liked to have seen a lot more quests like that where your personality could provide unique outcomes aside from just the tone of the dialogue.

Yeah, the only problem I had with aggressive Hawke was how she treated Isabela without prompting. My aggressive Hawke was a right ol' b!tch to everyone except her companions...but the game would force her to say nasty stuff like 'Sober up so we can talk'. :-(

Aggressive Hawke can be rather offensive :P
But there were other instances where I felt s/he was more direct than violent, which made me very happy!

"Hawke tried many odd jobs before making it in Kirkwall. His short career as a pedicurist was largely considered a failure."

just had a playthrough with "aggressive" female mage. certainly a change than my 1st nice guy playthrough. But its kinda annoying when you choose aggressive response and then do some investigate dialog branch the tone changes:

Hawke: Lady do I look like i need a dress?!! (no BS tone)
NPC: Apologize
Hawke: Soo, tell me about this Huon dude (nice tone)

Breaks immersion :(

I'm playing an aggressive Hawke for the first time, and I'm noticing the same problem. I figure you just aren't "supposed" to use the investigate branch if you're trying to be direct/aggressive, but then I'm assuming that also reduces future dialogue later on which also kind of stinks.

I tend to like mixing it up, but I admit, I'm usually to soft to be aggressive.

This time however, I decided I would be. I'm a mage again, which means I'm putting up with carver again. I was nice the first time. This time he get blunt sarcasm.

Loved my conversation with him after Birthright. I carry the weight of every death with me. Shut the twit right up.

I like Aggressive Hawke, when focusing primarily on the "Direct" responses, and peppering it with Diplo and a few "Charm" responses. Playing that way, actually made my last Hawke seem like the smartest Hawke I have yet to play (at least within the confines of the game). As for Friendship/Rivalry, it isn't hard to still max everyone out. I choose what fits best for that character, and how they feel about their companions. So had no problem maxing out the Friendship on everyone, except for the two I purposely maxed out on Rivalry (Merrill and Sebastian).

And even though I had a friendship with Anders (it was locked in before Act 3), I ratted Anders out, and told him I would not help him at the Chantry. It played out quite well, actually. I was surprised.

you can also save anders with an evil hawke. :) after the patch there is the possibilty to convince him to fight with the templare and to make his mistakes even. I know it sounds strange but I found it pretty convincing, especially after a rival romance with him, where Hawke already has awoken doubts within him. I liked that pretty much =)
