Kind of a stupid question, but...

Lyrium is generally blue, as evidenced in the fade and near the anvil of the void... So why are both lyrium resources in DA2 red?

The reason I ask is because some are claiming that the "Corrupted Lyrium" resource is the same as the lyrium found in the ancient Thaig at the end of Act 1. Yet regular "Raw Lyrium" is also red and identical to its corrupted counterpart.

I just want to know for sure.

Lyrium dust and pure lyrium are red.
Lyrium sand is purple
Raw and processed lyrium is blue.

I always assumed the red lyrium dust was either a miscolor of the icon OR a result of mixing lyrium with other things so it's not deadly when drank.

But...who really knows.

I want the answer to this question too. I'm making some props for a cosplayer friend of mine and i want authentic lyrium!

Is the lyrium in the ancient Thaig the same of the corrupted lyrium resource? That's the main thing I want to know.

Why can't there be multiple colors? There's White Gold, Red Gold, and Yellow gold based off tiny impurities, why not red and blue lyrium?

Yeah, you're right there can be multiple colors of the rock....but I hope they don't go with the different colors of Kryptonite doing different things. It'll be a little bit of a facepalm to have to explain to someone that Red Lyrium makes you crazy and Green Lyrium makes you horny while Blue Lyrium gives you mana.
