I'm just imagining Hawke, Aeducan, Cassandra, and Morrigan in a bar and picturing what might happen. How would the conversation go?

I've got a backpicture for a sig if anyone wants to make something with it.
I've not got the font I want to add to it, twas thinking something stylized but all mine are too blocky

Was thinking something along the lines of-
"Cassandra, Seeking DA3"
or maybe "Cassandra Pentaghast <3"

So. Let's say Cassandra is a companion in the next game. Let's say Hawke is the protagonist and Varric is in the party, too.

I think her post battle comment after any resounding victory should be: "You really weren't exaggerating!"

That really is a lovely banner!  May I have permission to put it in my signature?  Pretty please?

Were she to be a companion, I would picture Cassandra as something a bit like a female Sebastian.  She'd be darker and more intense, but just as devout, moral, and dedicated.

But a rogue, maybe a dual-weapon rogue like Leliana. That would make her the 'Anitisabela'

Cassandra absolutely must return in DA3, and also receive an upgrade to companion and LI status.

I can't wait to see or hear more from her, to be honest.

Interesting side note: if you alter the appearance of your character to that of Cassandra, it uses male idle/running/fighting animations. A bit strange, really.

Cassandra is totally a dude

I love how she say that it sounds so romantic that my F!Hawke took down the Arishook in a duel. Do hope she has some hero-worship. Might be worth putting a single F!Hawke through DA2 for that <3

I disapprove of everything having to do with the Chantry. Nonetheless, I approve of everything there is to approve of about Cassandra's accent and voice.

I see her being a sword and shield warrior.  I don't see her being a rogue.  I don't see her as being as devout as Sebastian.  I sure hope not.   I see her being more tough and gritty than Aveline if that is possible.

I'd love her to be a companion in DA3.

I can see her as a warrior, actually that might be better for me (and it would be nice if Bioware considered me personally) now that I think about it. See I play as a mage, so I could have in my party Cassandra, Varric, and someone else.

As for her being devout, she is a Seeker, I don’t imagine one becomes one of the Chantry’s elite enforcers without being a fairly devout, even ardent, Andrastian. It would strike me as odd if her faith was not a big part of her personality.

It's funny that you should mention that, as one of the reasons as to why my canon Hawke did not take an LI is because I'm hoping that Cassandra will be available in a future title. ^_^

Even though she's granted relatively little screentime, I do enjoy the character development that Cassandra is subjected to throughout DA2. Her interrogation of Varric becomes noticeably less violent as the game progresses, and it is eventually revealed that her desire to end the Mage-Templar War is her motive for locating Hawke. I think Varric's dialogue at the end of the game is testament to how his opinion of Cassandra changes throughout the game.

I do hope that BioWare explore the possibility of having Cassandra play a bigger role in the next Dragon Age game. That would be great.

Cassandra as the PC? Interesting.

I'd prefer it if she was a companion/LI, though. ^_^

I certainly wouldn't mind her as a companion/LI--in fact, I would be sorely disappointed if she wasn't at least a companion--but I also think she has the potential to be the PC.  We do know a little bit of her personality gleamed through her interrogation of Varric, but she was also left ambiguous enough that her character could be later refined/changed as the writers see fit.  Who's to say that the player may not end up defining her character, as we did with Hawke and the Warden?

Cassandra's in an interesting place.  She's a Seeker of Truth, a secretive faction that answer directly to the Divine in Orlais.  Its main roles are interrogation and persuit of truth, holding the Templar Order's powers within check, and ensuring the safety of the Chantry in both external and internal affairs.  Her family is also nobility in Nevarra, which could lead to some interesting connections.  For one, Cumberland is the location for the largest and most powerful Circle of Magi as well as where the College of Magi convenes to elect a new grand enchanter (the direct representative of the Circle to the Divine and also her advisor).  Given that the world is on the brink of an all out war between mages and templars, Cumberland would be a hotbed of activity.  Add to the fact that Cassandra seems to be tasked with finding Hawke and the Warden--the two most important people in recent Thedas history, one of which was part of this whole mess--in hopes of preventing said war, well...our dear Seeker is certainly in the thick of this maelstorm.

Suffice to say, I wouldn't mind playing a character stuck in the middle of political and social intrigue.  I also wouldn't mind starting out as a character with a little more than a backstory.  Cassandra is already in the midst of the mage-templar conflict with a role already set for her.  What she does with her role could be an interesting aspect if it were decided upon by the player.  Dragging her along as a companion would be fine, but part of me would like to see the possiblity of her being in the driver's seat sort to speak. :P

They wouldn't make her the PC for a full game (though I agree that it would be interesting).

The only possibility would be to make her the PC for a small DLC similar to Leliana's Song.
