He has lots of snarky comments to other companions through the game but at least most of those are related to his whole persecution of mages complex.  The one line that really ticked me off was this one however.

In the deep roads when you find Sandal and all the dead darkspawn he is the first to pipe and says:

Talk about "Dumb Luck".  With the dumb luck in quotes as shown.  What a total mean spirited ass.  Sandal could probably have blown him into little mage_spirit bits.

I hated his banter with Aveline, her DEAD husband. I got this Act I with them both, which has been like a year since he died and he's asking about her dead husband's sexual preferences?! (The whole Templar-mage roleplaying thing) I was disgusted and wanted my Hawke to stab him right there.

Pff, you guys need to learn how to appreciate paint-peelingly bad jokes. They're the best kind.

He also makes the lovely, "Wonder if we'll find more than a bag of bones this time," quip when searching for Mama Hawke.

I love Sandal. He is pretty dumb though. In an adorable way. He has like a 15 word vocabulary. I just want to bake him the juiciest salamander pie ever. Bawww.

Anders's bad jokes and sarcastic Hawke's mumbling make me giggle all the time though.

Because you're better in bed when you're sad.

But really, come now. Do you think his templar/mage roleplaying comment was nice? It's totally the kind of thing my character would say, though, so maybe it's why she's with Anders

She'd not have waited a year. She'd only have waited until the perfect moment struck. Like after Aveline said she wanted a beer. Because non-sequiturs are THE FOUNDATION OF MY RELENA'S SENSE OF HUMOR.

Oh, okay.  You know, so long as it has to do with my performance.

Personally, I think Anders' worst moment occurs when you try to hand Fenris back over to Danarius.

Fenris: WHAT? PLEASE NO, I NEED YOU! :crying:

Entire Party: OMG DON'T DO IT! :crying:

Anders: About time!

Anders is such a troll.  Thank god this never actually happens in any of my play-throughs.

I guess spoilers but...

When he does the dirty deed, and you choose to let him go, he shows up again in Orsino's chambers, when you first talk to him he makes some comment about if him joining you would spoil the victory, I thought that was incredibly crass, considering the circumstances. Difficult to believe his post deed contriteness was sincere.

The line that bugged me the most from Anders was when you got to the foundry where Quentin hides while looking for your mother, he says "I wonder if we'll find more than a bag of bones this time" or something like that, I mean what an insensitive a******!!! I'm over there desperately looking for my mother and hoping that she's still alive and he goes on to say a stupid and insensitive joke? Really???? I wish there was an option to kill him in a more satisfying way, such as slicing his throat or something, the stab in the back just doesn't do it for me >.>

I'd like to see him die via Human Battering Ram (Aveline).

That'd be lovely, or Fenris doing his phase through thing :o or Seb headshotting him

The absolute worst comes from either Merril's last quest or the one where you escort the Qunari Mage out of Kirkwall.

In Merril's quest he just goes "Man Merethari was the bravest evar but she wasted her life saving a stupid blood mage like Merril!"

Says the terrorist abomination who can't even control the spirit inside him.

When saving Saarebas from the Qunari, Saarebas says he still chooses to obey the Qun. And Anders yells at him for being a slave. WHO HAS JUST DECIDED TO CHOOSE HIS OWN PATH.
What happened to giving mages the right to choose Anders? Or does it only count when they choose something that YOU approve of?

I always thought having him made tranquil would have been awesome.  >_>

This was the moment I knew I wasn't going to like him. Up until that point I was giving him a chance and trying to flirt with him in spite of all the bad vibes I was getting from him, but that? That was horrible. That wasn't even 'bad joke' horrible, that was 'what is wrong with you' horrible. It's obvious too that he was insinuating that Wesley was some kind of pervert who got off on demons and/or dominating mages just because he's a templar. He didn't even know the man, but he was a templar so that makes him fair game.

It's that kind of blind hatred that makes me wonder if he would have even hesitated even a second if there was an opportunity to kill Templar Carver.

I had managed to miss the 'dumb luck' line but that was quite rude. Good to see his petulance isn't reserved only for templars, blood mages, wardens, demons, people of authority, random Andrastians and dogs.

Anders is very very hypocritical and has a big persoanlity flaw. That's why I love him though .. I sense much hatred for him here which is understandable.

I honestly can't give Anders any crap after my Hawke told the Viscount who was cradling his dead son in his arms that things "can't get any worse... today, anyway.  It's pretty late".  ::facepalm::

Her socially inappropriate apostate worked out pretty well for her.

Well, no, he approves of letting demons... Oh, wait...

He's only saying what my Hawke was thinking.

It was their creepy new-couple mind meld.

"I thought I was the only one thinking that!" when giving Fenris back to Danarius sealed my eternal hatred for Anders. Slavery is wrong, unless you happen to be someone who says something bad about mages. In that case it's A-okay to just stand there and make a joke at their expense.
