BUT which is better, 360 or ps3?  I would get it for my pc but my Hp laptop is down (got that bad nvidia/mobo thing going on with them right now).

So any input would be nice.. leaning toward the ps3 (since it sounds like it will be on blu ray.)

I don't think anyone has done a definitive comparison yet. Stand by for fanboy rantings though...

Im not sure... PS3 has some bad history concerning DLC, but Id go with whichever you like playing on more.

If you have Best Buy rewards just got an email coupon for 10% off a regular price game through 11/2 so you could pick it up on release and save a few dollars there.

I think I'd personally lean more towards PS3 just because I lost my first 360 to the RRoD and had to buy a new one.

DAO on Xbox 360 will be a success, while there are still some doubts surrounding PS3 version. This game is BioWare's first ever port on PS3, and even if it does become successful it is much less likely that mod support(which is still a "maybe" for Xbox) will reach PS3.

You should be able to get a free Xbox 360 for free.

I'm with Aristorum. I just upgraded my comp so I will be getting this for PC but before that I was going to get it on the PS3. This game will end up taking ALOT of play time. And after getting the RROD once I am pairanoid about playing my XBOX for long periods of time.

From what we've seen they look pretty identical graphically, and seeing as DA does not have any online play options, I can't imagine there being much difference otherwise. They'll both play fine I'm sure.

You can I even asked them about it because I had no clue at first when I get the pre-order box.

You get the game on whichever system you are more comfortable with. People who say PS3 DLC has had issues in the past and that ps3 has a much less likely chance of seeing mods, thats just fanboyism at it';s finest from the xbox boys again. I would have no problem owning the game for my PC , Xbox, or PS3 but I feel like playing on my tv not my monitor. The ps3 version has every indication of being IDENTICAL to the 360 version so come the console reviews next week the fanboys will have to give up their fight. My advice......don't listen to anyone as 90% of the responses you will get are from fanboys. Just get it on the system you enjoy the most. The DLC will be the same and PS3 has no dlc reliability issues.

I'm getting it for my PS3. I'd rather be kicked back sitting on the comfort of my couch with my legs up playing for hours on end rather then sitting at my cpu desk.

I spent enough time sitting at my cpu desk playing EQ back in the day ;)

When faced with decisions like this I tend to get the 360 version because I'm more comforable with the 360 than the PS3. Not to mention the ability to talk to friends over Xbox Live is something I've gotten accustomed to.

Look up Fallout 3 and its history of DLC on the PS3 compared to the PC and 360 versions.

Good advice.  Baron (OP), I take it you have both systems?  Waiting to compare isn't a bad idea either - there've been (minor) visual differences in AAA titles lately.  Usually one of the major sites puts out a side-by-side comparison by or around release date.

I agree, I don't think DLC will be an issue with this game, so just get whichever works better for you. I'm going with PS3 myself.

PC ports to 360 are said to be easier and smoother. For that reason I'd go with that one. I own both and that's the system I'm getting it for. PS3 is for The Last Guardian ;)

Oddly enough my PS3 has downloaded the fallout 3 add-ons aswell as any other games/content just fine since launch day. Im sure your one of those folks that refuses to purchase a product because you find 20 bad reviews on the net.  1,000,000 customers.......500 problems......ratio seems fairly good to me that you wont have a problem. Lets have everyone that HASN'T had an issue post online for all to see and see which page has more responses.....Fact is , those millions of us that don;t have problems do not feel the need to tell the world, while every person that has a small problem come arise feels the need to place it online and call for the end of the world. Don't be blind. I would say I have a better chance of my 3rd xbox 360 having a red ring again than my ps3 having a DLC issue.

Well I have had the 360 longer (my old one got the RROD.. but I waited and got the elite with the jasper chip) and have played more games on it than the ps3.. so controller wise the 360 feels better in my hand than ps3 (wife and i have rock band(s) and GH's for the ps3).. and since it is only a one person game.. really shouldnt matter what system.

No you completely missed my point. It took months for DLC to even start making it to the PS3 for Fallout. I wasnt saying I thought this would be the case with DAO, because Bethesda is a bunch of lazy idiots, I was just pointing out one thing I thought should be considered. Im getting the PC version personally so I couldnt care less about which console is better.

Edit: Im not trying to be a jerk about it, I just know Im right XD. I dont think it had anything to do with the PS3 itself, just that some developers dont support certain console versions of their games. Fallout 3 DLC had HUGE issues across all platforms when they launched anyway.

Throw a dart at a board that has the system choices split down the middle on it? Don't worry about DLC, that's pretty much just Bethesda that hates the PS3, never had any other game that didn't update the DLC the same week as the 360. It really shouldn't matter in the end.

I guess I'd say pick the system with the most disk space free for an install or the controller you like best.
