I know that you can use GFF editor to go in and manually add tails and wings to saved characters. But I am just wondering if there is any automated system set up for the players to do this in-game. Perhaps a combination of scripting and third party software? Or is this something that only an Admin is able to do for his/her players manually? I'm not exactly sure how this works yet.

Any info greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can do wings as cloaks, and with xp_craft, all of which is on the vault.

Tails not so easy. Both of which you should be able to manually do.

You can do on the fly gff editing with kivinens perl tools, nwn-lib, ruby, and quite a few other things. This is all pretty advanced, but has been done a lot in NWN1 and it's just using those ideas in nwn2.

There also was a plugin for NWNX that actually allowed wings and tails to be added IG. It would make the change, and log you off, and when you logged back in, they were there.

Except I could not get it to work lol. We have dragonborn and tieflings on our server, but I always need to LETO a new PC via a forum request.

Takes 2 seconds, mildly annoying, but it gets the end result.

It's something I've been meaning to get 'round to trying but haven't, but it might be possible to make VFX versions of wings and maybe even tails which could then be applied to PCs. I'm not sure the animations would all work properly, but like I said, I haven't really tried it out yet.

Thank you very much for all the info.
As Sadistic pointed out...I've also heard of the NWNX type method that changes/adds wings and tails via a conversation in game and then it logs out the player. They then have to log back on and will have the changes. And supposedly there is a server that is doing just that. I'll have to ask my friend again to see if he remembers which one it is for sure. Though I don't know if they are doing this using NWNX or something more like what Pain suggested.
If there is a working NWNX version and it's not just rumor, that would be awesome.

It's just a pity there are no bat-like wings for male characters. They'd be great for Red Dragon Disciples.

I've experimented with adding wings to standard creature models, and each wing or tail model animates according to its own gender, rather than the gender of the model it is attached to. So succubus wings tend to have a life of their own on male characters during idle animations.
