I was disappointed that there were little to no item descriptions for the loot in my inventory. One of the nice things from Origins was that even weak stuff like Thorn of the Dead Gods had a little description to give it some backstory. Here it is just "insert dramatic name here" and the stats. Nothing else. It is a little disheartening. GIve suits like The Armor of the Fallen some description, give it some backstory.
It would be much better than just a blank name and statistics.
What happened to the little things?

Did you check your CODEX? Item descriptions on unique items got moved to the CODEX.

Bad example, since the Armor of the Fallen DOES have a Codex entry.
But in general I agree, there was a description on pretty much every named item in DA:O that I can recall, but none on most items in DA2.

The list of "little stuff" gone is a bit longer. From top of my head:
-Character selection animation and voice.
-Item descriptions.
-Item icons.
-"Medieval" fonts and menus.

Yes, I checked the codex. But even little things like the descriptions of glamour charms are gone.PsychoBlonde wrote...

Is CAPITALIZING words really necessary?

I do miss those little descriptions, actually. I know the really important stuff gets Codex entries, but I hate sifting through them to find the one I want to read.
But I didn't really notice anything else missing.

I usually don't mind streamlining since I like it, but I noticed that injuries are all health based. In Origins you could have a variety of things wrong with you. I could have a cracked skull, and have lower willpower due to it. Though it seems injuries only hinder health now. It was a nice touch in Origins.

Many of them were also completely insignificant in Origins, though. With them being health-based, they're pretty much always significant. In DA:O on the already rare occasions when one of my party members died, the injury was almost always so insignificant (often in a stat that was unimportant to their class anyway) that I very, very rarely used injury kits.

That is not a reason to simplify them. Just make them count and have a bigger impact.Koyasha wrote...
