But Hawke said he'd go off with Isabela on her ship after all was done in Kirkwall. I was thinking that would be a nice import to the next game. lol. I guess I'll be pull up an old save and backtrack it just in case.

Hawke gets the ship offer even if there's no romance... if you're romancing somebody else, Isabela will just say to bring the LI along.

She said it before Merrill bum-rushed my house. lol I was wondering if that kills the offer.

I ended up with both Merrill and Isabela moved in.

After two playthroughs, I see the Arishok as a creature trapped by a belief system that allows no ambiguity, which is both the strength and the weakness of the Qun. He dueled not because he thought it was the right thing, but because the Qun demanded it. Thus, even though Isabela turns in the "Sacred Relic", he demands Isabela as well because the Qun demands it. The Arishok doesn't even think. It's all "because the Qun demands it." And would return to butcher Kirkwall anyway because the Qun demands it. He was a zealot who got what was coming to him. In this respect he was no different than Meredith. Black or White doesn't work in a world that is shades of Gray.

I would not turn Isabela over to him. Varric was your trusty sidekick role. Aveline represented law & order. Fenris had lost who he was with nothing but bitterness over his choices about which he was unaware. Anders? Your classic extremist. Merrill was simply tragic, but a IMO a very deep and conflicted character. Isabela? Your classic sociopath with very loyal tendencies and probably one of my favorite characters in the story. Get Isabela to 100% friend and she stays with Hawke through thick and thin.

Knowing all this now, I will never turn Isabela over to the Arishok.

How did you get Izzy to move in? I got her to change her gear but never found a way to move her in.

No. But I used a mod on my PC to change her look. And I never got her to bring the book back on the 360 playthrough. She looks different how?

She doesn't. Only Anders and Merrill will do so.

That's what I originally thought but Shotgun said Merrill and Isabela moved in so I had to ask. :)

I did it with my evil character.

I had Isabella at max friendship. She was the only character that I did, other than Fenris (my romance). Everyone else practically hated my guts.

I told her she could keep the book. But I didn't expect her to run off with it, and just leave me some crap note instead of saying bye to my face.

So I told the Arishok he could take her. She called me a ****, and said I haven't seen the last of her, screaming ans they took her away.

I guess it was the last I saw of her, unless she shows up in some DLC to exact her revenge. I really, REALLY hope that happens.

I basically just didn't think there was anything more evil my evil character could do than betray her best friend.

Hang on a sec. Someone go back several steps for me? Sorry if this has been covered.

Do you turn her in when the Arishok beheads the Viscount?

I tried to turn her in at the first opportunity; just after the fight to get the relic, and she ran away, never to return, at that point. She wasn't with me when the Arishok beheaded the Viscount. She was long gone.

If you have sufficient (50%) friendship/rivalry with her and complete her Questioning Beliefs quest in Act 2, she will return right before the battle with the Arishok and return the tome. The Arishok will demand Hawke give him Isabela too. Hawke has the choice of whether to do so.

Full on.

(Guess I didn't do enough stuff with her. On the second playthru, I've built my party around her because her banter is so hilarious.)

I need to clarify this.... there apparently was a bug in the 360 version. :crying: Isabel was in the house but would only give the typical comment when clicked on. She had nothing above her head. Merrill had already moved in. Isabel wouldn't leave so I assumed she moved in, since I had her at 100% friend along with Merrill. So I just went through as the warrior.

Now in process as the apostate. After the most recent patch this changed. Isabel still went to the house, but this time had an exclaimation point over her head and a quest. Then she left. It had something to do with getting her a ship. So I helped to get her the ship. I figured that's a great way for a mage to get away from the Templars in the aftermath.

Must see if Carver leaves the Templars. If not, bye bye little brother.

And one last thing..... Isabel.... this IS the Isabel we met in the Pearl in Denerim, right?

Missed this post but the answer to your question is yes it's supposed to be which is why so many people were questioning the way she looks in DA2.
