I may play as Marian Hawke for the first time soon. Which voice path did you enjoy the most; diplomatic, agressive, or sarcastic?

Snarky Hawke has been a landslide of win in my games so far. I'm working a more diplomatic game, but I seriously miss the sarcastic responses.

Sarcastic is fun. She makes some rather silly remarks and Isabella and Varric have funny conversations with her. I played Diplomatic the first time through and it got very dull because even in romantic moments she was all business and no fun. So I'd suggest trying aggressive or sarcastic if you want her to feel like she has a bit more character.

Sarcastic Hawke is the best out of the three options. Jo Wyatt has a good comic delivery, plus the dialogues are very well written - not to mention NPCs' reactions to jokes, some are totally hilarious. Second close is Aggressive/Direct, never thought I could enjoy being an ass most of the times.
Diplomatic is somewhat dull, I agree with the other poster, not because of the voice acting, rather because of the writing. Tried it once and didn't feel that great.

Lady Hawke won by a mile in the sarcastic department, imo.

Aggressive has some "interesting" responses, comparable to some of the renegade interrupts in ME2.

Tis quite fun.

Diplomatic has some fuzzy moments, but Sarcastic is the clear winner. The snark reaches legendary levels.

Sarcastic is quite fun~ It's a nice counterbalance to all the depressing stuff going on. Plus, the voice actress did a fantastic job with it.

"*irritated sigh* Must you be so dramatic?" *murder knife* That one scene makes that personality path win the game.

I have a question since I've just started af female Hawke run. I prefer to mix up the choices, how much must I stay within a given direction (e.g. sarcastic) for it to alter her voice and choice of words?

For which quest was that?

My first run was pretty diplomatic as a mage. Second run she was a snarky warrior and it was FAR more enjoyable.

Thats Magistrates Orders, If you choose to kill Kader instead of letting Fenris (if hes in your party) do it. Its the sarcastic response.

I think 6 in a row but that becomes harder to change after one set if my memory serves. I usually come up with fixed personality from Lothering.

On topic,

As I don't like female Hawke voice I find red path makes it more bearable.

Diplomatic is... kinda dull and uninspired. Sarcastic and Aggressive/Direct are just awesome though, especially the humour one. I played Angry!Mage!Hawke first, and now I'm runnign as a sarcastic/witty mage I'm actually shocked at how many lines change depending on the personality. A *lot* of work went into this system.

Sarcastic is a big bag of win.

Just make sure to murder knife people at every chance as well for lols. There's a specific murder knife scene that you can do as a rogue but can't as a mage (haven't checked on a warrrior yet).

Sarcastic Hawke was definately more fun, but great voice acting went into all three.

The sarcastic Lady Hawke option was in my opinion the best of the lot in terms of PC voice over. Not to say the other sets are not good - Nicholas Boulton was a great choice for Male Hawke, though I can't help but remember 'where's the b**** that bottled me?' whenever he speaks  - but that one is just so good it's hard to revert to anything else!

I never had a Hawke do just one voice yet. The responses always were dependent to who was being spoken to.

Always nice to Bethany. Works for her.
Always mean to Carver. Works for him.
Always mean to Anders. Because he deserves it.

Then the others all got different ones through playthroughs. Although never tried mean to Aveline but have done nice and comical playthroughs with her.
