The comment about boneless women on the sarcastic path just broke me up. So wrong, so funny. My first playthrough was sarcastic, I'm doing direct now (as much as I can, I try not to be cruel to people who don't deserve it) and so far, not as fun, though it has its moments.

At some points sarcasam reminded me soley of Morrigan. IDK, sarcasm route is hard to beat imo on either male or female hawke.

My only problem with the Aggressive dialog path is that your character sounds schitzo when you switch into an "Investigate" option (where I think she always uses the Diplomatic voice tone by default). So it's like you're GNARRR SNARL la la la nicey-nice I SAID GRRR. It's actually really distracting over time. I had to drop the red path about midway through the game when I couldn't take it any more.

I really like that each personality type gets unique options in quests.

Sardonic/jocular/purple/whatever is the best. Both my opinion and common opinion.

The whole thing is obviously a matter of personal preference.

The sarcastic options are really enjoyable, but I greatly prefer the male voice acting when it comes to these responses, so I let my male Mage go down that path.

For my female Warrior, I enjoy the resolute (i.e. red/aggressive/direct) path the most, because the voice actress is so good at being pissed off and annoyed. Although I agree with Siduri that it can get a little weird, when you switch between the investigate choices and the aggressive tone. But that doesn't bother me very much. Makes her seem like someone who at least occasionally tries to behave and play nice, but most of the time just doesn't have the necessary self-control for it ;)

I liked her charming/silly remarks best :).

The "mean" remarks just make me feel like a complete douchebag/**** :<.

Rude Hawke handing out a random skeleton: "Your lost garbage, serah." It was funny as hell.

I think theres a twist to that part, in my current playthrough Im using a 2-H warrior with the sarcastic personalty when Varric said:

"What are our option?"
I said
"HAWKE SMASH!!!"

.......Right, like I said maybe an Agressive Hawke can do that no matter the class I think but a Warrior can do that regardless of your character probably much like when your a Rogue you can use the Murder Knife on that slave to save the mage kid.

My agressive mage hawke didn't have an option to punch a demon, I think. I'm pretty sure it would've triggered with the agressive option, yes? And there were no additional options besides the normal 3.

I got it. I think it depneds on how constant you're aggresive. The one I got it I was constantly aggressive.

Ah, that's it. I wasn't an a-hole 24/7. I should kick more puppies next time. And kittens. *sigh* What remains of Hawke family is my weakness, always.

On a kinda-sort related note, does warrior Hawke get anything special the other classes don't? Rogue Hawke gets the murder knife on the "rescue Feyriel from the slaver" quest and mage Hawke keeps at least one sweet blue glowing hand moment.

Witty for most playthroughs - reminds me so much of myself. Except I usually settle for thinking it rather than saying it.

My warrior I used direct mostly. I agree that its downfall is sounding hormonal when you want to ask questions. I did find that the odd witty option still fit in though. Punching that demon did make it worthwhile ;-)

I'm doing one as diplomatic. I usually play malehawke as snarky. Jo Wyatt delivers those lines terribly though, I think anyway.

Sarcastic.

"I assume you're not referring to my ability to juggle small rodents to Orlesian ballads."

Awesome.

No, it is tied to warrior. Mage cannot do it.

Aggressive. It works so well with a blood mage.

I tend to mix it up between sarcastic & diplomatic... the latter of which I choose when talking to Leandra & Bethany.
Sarcasm I tend to use for Varric and Isabela, direct/aggressive for Anders.
Gamlen... well, you can kind of guess which path I chose for him, with the year in servitude and all...

Aggressive is BRILLIANT. Just finished my playthrough. She strikes a great balance between hard-ass and still passionate when dealing with emotional bits.
