So I've tried Fenris on nightmare with Isabela as back up. Troube is that Fenris is hitting her as much he's hitting the enemy.

Leaving aside the workaround (target people he's not hitting right now; attack directly from behind and get out of the way), what do people think of this?

Any other effective way to play Fenris w/ a dw rogue backup?

Is this too harsh, even for nightmare?

I wouldn't expect to go through Nightmare without expecting every melee in my party to go down due to FF. Either bring lots of injury kits and/or elfroot potions or go 3 ranged + 1 melee.

The only way would be to micromanage them delicately. Otherwise nope, a 2HW does not play well with other (melee) characters on Nightmare.

I'm currently using Carver and Aveline on NM, granted no DW rogue, but Aveline was taking some Carver damage. I guess I just send them to different groups of enemies to start with, Carver left, Aveline right or whatever. When you're down to one larger enemy left, like a Commander, put one melee behind and one in front. It's worth sacrificing one hit to move. (Also, you could probably exploit backstab in order to move a DW rogue out of the way, quickly, couldn't you?)

PS. Carver does play well with mage who makes enemies brittle. ;)
