[p95h]

As I was playing through for the umpteenth time, I got to thinking that certain characters had the subtle foreshadowing of companion stamped over them.

Here's my list of potential companions (other than ones we've already seen in DAO, and current DA2 ones):

1. Charade (The cousin)
2. Lia (The guardsman recruit whom Hawke saves from the magistrate's insane son)
3. Mherin (The dwarf son who gains an appreciation for defenders against the darkspawn)
4. Stroud (The grey warden who has "pressing matters" to attend to)
5. Tamlin (The guy who disappeared from DAO Eluvian)

Anyone else have a list of characters they think might be foreshadowed for DA3?

I suspect as god child in Orlais you will be joined by...

Fenris
Sebastian [Otherwise an Important NPC]
Sten [Unless he's a important/minor NPC]
Varric [Badass Dwarf, be a fool not to add him]
Aveline [She might return with a more prominant issue, or she may not. Just a guess]
Velanna [She had a cliffhanger really]
Silas [Interesting Companion from Leliana's Song]
Leliana if alive [Unless she's an important npc]
Loghain if alive [Unless a minor npc]
Morrigan [Unless she's an important npc]

Sebastian will provide a holy war in the name of the Chantry
Leliana will be linking stories
Morrigan will be preparing the God Child's destiny
Loghain will be watching some mages maybe in Orlais
Sten will be the new Arishok, and killer of mages
Silas will be a faithful chantry follower, with some common sense [Aveline some-what but more Snerky]
Varric will be there, because he played a critical role in DA2 it wouldn't make sense for him not to appear
Velanna will fill us in on what's going on with the Architect
Aveline may be looking for Hawke and might be looking for a new job
Fenris has a little fragment of story left in him, in my opinion

Tamlin was tainted, but his fate is truly unknown after passing through the mirror. Remember, his body wasn't found, but there was blood near the shattered mirror. He *May* be dead, or he may be in some fade like environment.

As for Loghain, in my DAO game, Alistair had him executed...Now that is what I call dead

It seems a bit of a stretch that Tamlin would appear later in connection the the Eluvian, but you never know.

Then there is also Jowan, assuming you let him live, but Tamlin is even more likely than that.

He's not a companion.  This is a companion thread or there would be far more speculation on characters going on.

I'll toss in a couple that I'd like to see:

1. Ariane, the elf from Witch Hunt
2. Morrigan. Make it so.
3. Sten. Or any qunari, pref. a female Tal-Vashoth or something
4. Charade. Not a companion but I feel she has a lot of potential that went untapped.
5. Loghain! But that wouldn't happen. *sadface*
6. Varric mode, even if he's just a narrator.
7. Isabela.
8. Toss in Nate the Great and we'll have ourselves a party.


I know this is a ludicrous list but whatever.

I lopped off Leliana's head and she's around and kicking so don't count your chickens before they're hatched or however that saying goes.

I think Cassandra will be a companion for DA3. You heard it here first. Seems almost too obvious to me, so I'm probably wrong, though.

And that will stop Bioware from retconing them? Death is temporary in Thedas.

Even Anders can return in next game

Would say Leliana and Morrigan, however I doubt Bioware will reuse a companion in Dragon Age 3.

You can make him Tranquil though, so unless he was an optional companion or they retconned it, I'm not sure how that would work.

There was a thread in the spoilers section, the other one, and I gave a long explanation on how he can easily return as a companion regardless of what Hawke did to him in the Fade.

Come to think of it why is this thread in this section?

Also Cullen and Cassandra almost definitely.  Varric hopefully.

I think Cassandra and Hawke's cousin Charade have most companion potential. Cullen will probably make an appearence. But considering he is the most likley canadate for Knight Commander of the Kirkwall circle, I think he will have other responsibilities.

If any former companions return as party members for DA3 they will most likley be companions from the short DLCs (Witch Hunt, Leliana's song). Mainly because we know relatively little about their back stories. Some of the DLC companions like Ariane and Finn were pretty cool so i hope to see them again. In fact if Da3 involves a mage rebellion, Finn may be an intersting companion because he liked living in the circle and may not want to have the Circles overthrown.

Cullen will most likely be in Dragon Age 3. Bioware changed Isabela's voice actor because the previous one voiced Anora, and they're both major characters, correct?
I think that while Cullen is major, he is less important than Anders. So if he wasn't important, than Anders would be Greg Ellis and Cullen would be the other guy(Adam Howden?). But he's not.
