I have to say I do spend more time modding after the initial playthrough than I do playing. Its half the fun.

And in the end you end up having so much extra content in there you can't even remember half off it.

And then you end up with giant floating warning signs and have to enable all your mods one at a time until you find which mod is adding the misplaced texture or model.

Huge exclimation marks are caused by an absent model. Silvery objects are missing textures.

While blowing up Megaton was a choice, there was no impact on the game-world. In fact, I was quite startled that no one even mentioned the nuking of an entire town. All you got was some survivors on your tail.

You can be as evil as Satan himself, but if you change our mind, just give lots of water away, you'll be a savior in no time.

Lucy West has nothing to say about the fact that her 'lil brother just tried to make dinner out of mom and dad, and the settlement had no second thoughts about accepting a double murderer right back into their arms. They should be sleeping with a Chinese rifle under their pillows.

The ending was atrocious, and made no sense at all. And no, I've not bought the DLC, and I'm not planning on it at all, even though one of them changes the original ending.

But FO3 wasn't all too bad, just another FPS with a few RPG elements. It was actually kind of funny at times.

Oblivion got boring very fast for me, thank goodness for the modders. One of the funnier aspects were the one or two word questions/answers the PC threw at everyone most of the time. I know it was a limit in the conversation system, but still, that was one of the reasons I could never really get into it.

wow, i loved em all, oblivion years back was great spent hours and hours on it. fallout 3 too, love the setting,

though oblivion and fallout had more in common. since they are made in the same mold, by the same company. sorta like doa and bg2 will have more in common.

not sure why all the hate, bioware, and bethseda are some of the best western rpg makers around. i hope they both keep the games a coming.

If you are referring to the poster above you, she actually presented her points of view and opinions in a polite and friendly manner.

No hate here. Like I said, I liked Morrowind a lot, and Oblivion was good with the mods installed. Just pointing out the funny bits. True enough, the TES modding community is top notch.

As for FO3, the setting was good, very depressing at times, and those Deathclaws scared the beejesus out of me. My silly PC wound up in Old Olney far too early, and got her butt handed to her within seconds

Of course, if her points were disputed in an effective manner and then just disregarded because they didn't support her position while she continued to assert that her points were still valid, that would be trolling.

First time I saw a deathclaw, was when I turned around after something had slapped me across the head from behind taking a sizable portion off my health away. I stayed away from Old Olney a while after that :P

I personally had a blast with Fallout 3. Did it have its problems? Sure. Every game does. To me, it's all about how fun and addictive a game is. And FO3 definitely did the trick for me. To each his own, however.

Oblivion was inferior to Morrowind in a lot of ways but it was still fun for a little while. The depth of freedom is still unrivaled in any modern RPG. And that has to be worth something.

My two cents anyway.

Oblivion becomes about a bazillion times more awesome with Deadly Reflex, S.P.A.M. and FCOM installed. Going to bullet time, rolling foward and lopping some dudes left arm off it just epic.

Nothing can ever fix the epic scene with the 8 Blades cheering lustfully.

That still makes me giggle. Engine limitations *shakes head*

Yeah, there are a lot of great things you can do with the script extender, hopefully DA will offer a toolset that is in-depth enough that it doesn't require external methods.

I think the only reason Oblivion got such high ratings is that it was the first big expansive open world game for the next gen console. Everybody was wowed by graphics and didn't really pay attention to the big flaws of the game. If it had no voice overs and the same graphics as Morrowind people would have been woefully disappointed in the game and story. For me just the little bits of DA I've seen in video's surpasses Oblivion by miles. It all really comes down to what types of games you love to play though. I like Rpg's that require me to use a bit of strategy.

Man, just as I expected. A real *** never quits ***.

Anyhow, the problem was with the way the AI routine was handled. It basicly prevented having more than 40 chars in the same cell at any given time, without epic gear.

Good point, I forgot that. Getting it to play nicely with BT was fun, but worth the effort. Thank god for Wyrebash, lol

very good said, alas some people here overdo the fanboy/girl thing in burning everything Non- Bioware down to the ground.
I pity them, so many games one can´t enjoy..

For me it's the freakin'  feral ghouls in dark underground places, basically just jumping out from a corner and yelling really loudly, often you hear them before you see them... Image IPB They are not hard to kill, their screams are just too sudden for my liking lol.
