We all have our preferences for when it comes to music genres; what goes hand in hand with that preference in genre is favorite musical instrument that likely gives that said genre a edge in appealing to your likeing. That said what is your favorite/greatest instrument  and why?

Out of all the musical instruments  ever created by man my personal favorite is the French Horn. The F'n Horn doesn't get much credit in orchastras or symphonic bands because contrary to popular belief the corner stone that holds the foundation of the band together is not the Tuba, but infact the French Horn. It has the widest range of any instrument and carries a tone that is metaphorically like a white majestic unicorn stallion galloping on calm open ocean waters while the sun just beings to rise. That is why F Horns are the best instruments ever.

Flamenco guitar. I like its sound. It is also one of the few aspects of my cultural heritage that I feel prideful about, and appreciate.

The bass guitar, because it only has four strings. Less flippantly, my ears always seem to be attuned to the bass element of music, which is strange since a recent hearing test showed that there were glaring gaps in my hearing range at the bass end. Weird.

The only thing easier than seducing someone with a well-played violin is a well-played piano. As it happens, I'm better at playing the violin.

Drums given the response they can invoke, such as War Drums have in the past. And Pipe Organs, every time I see one I try and play that song from Dracula...and the Jaws theame.

I'm suddenly reminded of The Stranglers' Dave Greenfield and his comments about his "big throbbing organ".  Which usually didn't work.

Its impossible for me to choose, the industrial genre contains everything from simple drums to the humming sound of a refrigerator. Everything has the potential to be a music instrument!

But if I really have to choose just one instrument: Drums!

Right now the ukulele. Vedder has a new song called longing to belong where he uses the ukulele.
