I was thoroughly impressed by Flemeth's appearance in this game, though it appeared to be rather minor yet again. While I enjoyed her eccentricity in DA1, she wasn't suited for much besides arguing with Morrigan (and getting killed). In DA2, I like her character design, not to mention I love the way Kate voiced her in both games. Absolutely an amazing voice for Flemeth. Flemeth is such an enigma, and although it doesn't need to be fully explained in-game, I would very much love a DLC where she becomes a joinable character throughout the game. Simply use the amulet she gave you, and convince her. Perhaps complete a quest? Anyway, I'll leave the details to you, Bioware. But yes, please do make her available to jon the party in Act 1.
Whatn do you all think?

She'd be way too overpowered. She is meant to be about as powerful as your whole party at high levels.

No thanks. Flemeth as a party member doesn't make sense to me. She's too powerful, too mysterious, too scheming and self-involved. She's much better placed in her current position as a giver of cryptic advice and occasional demonic mastermind. If she develops any further, I imagine it will be as a more prominent villain.

I bet she's the main boss of DA3. So, we'll have to kill her. Again.

No thanks, it's like the same argument as wanting Sandal as a party member. They have already proven to be extremely overpowerful characters and Flemeth at least has proven to play an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT ROLE in the major chain stream line of the Dragon Age series.
That's just my theory though, with her connections to all major characters that would impact on Thedas in some way. It would kill the mystery of who or what she is and what her goal and intent is.
I would not, however, disapprove of seeing her again in a later DLC.

Urgh, as if she wasn't hard enough to kill in Origins. T_TRhostadt wrote...

Why would Flemeth ever follow Hawke?

Every encounter would go like this:
Oh no! The first of seventy waves!
*Flemeth is now in High Dragon form*
*Flemeth makes all the enemies explode... except that one in the corner... she then chomps him*
Repeat this process for every subsequent wave....
I agree that she'd be waaaaaaay to powerful for a companion...

For the lulz? And her grand scheme.... Why else does she do anything?Axekix wrote...

Somehow I don't think Flemeth would take well to following Hawke's orders...

No way. Too much of a character like that will just get rid of her allure. It'd be setting too many pages from Carrot or Vetinari's perspectives from Discworld, or getting into the head of the Comedian.

I think she is too obvious to be the villain of the next game. I think the Development team has something more complicated in mind with her. It might be set up like she will be the villain, but it'll turn out she's not.
