 What does this mean exactly? I thought it might mean that on every attack, all enemies within 4m of the attack would suffer 4 damage. Is that right?

yea I think its like a 2H warrior swing, the damage spreads around the 4 meters.
But I don't know how to measure meters in Dragon Age.

Well meter is about three feet, so you need to take one and then...
