Anyone else want some dlc where we find out more about that idol? I'd like to know how exactly it effected the people who had it, why it effected those it did and not others around them, and if it was alive.
I definately think it has something to do with the old gods, Anders mentiones that Batrand seems like he's demon possessed, and I remember morrigan in the first game mentioning that the taint and demonic stuff were oddly similar.
If it's not alive, I think it's a conduit to someone that is, maybe an old god.

I dunno, I don't really think it's a conduit to anything. Other than being a different type of raw Lyrium that makes people go mad. I mean mind you, even regular lyrium has detrimental effects in it's raw form.

I would love to learn more about just what is whispering to whoever has the Lyrium Idol... Will it happen? It's not really feasible as an addon story thing like Warden's Keep... though I could see a Leliana's Song style DLC working.

Huh. That's a little disapointing. You'd think at least when he mentioned it in the story, the seeker would smack him in the face and demand to have it so the chantry can study it.

Yeah, I'd have thought that after coming across something like that, it'd be more awesome than pressing a button, but the shard just sort of bows out of the story. I've had it up to here with all the Checkov's guns. That plot thread just doesn't make the grade.

He upgrades Biance with it, and I think he changes his outfit too.
