Let's see.. whiny, idiot man-child who flip-flops between sides?
Seamus.

I don't know what cylon or baltar are from, but you just described Sebastian to a T.  Seamus doesn't flip-flop.  I'm sure it would if he was able to survive an unarmed, unarmored priestess and live to see his precious exbeasts turn into the mass murdering hypocrites we all knew they were and flip-flop, but...

Can't really justify complaining about "plot holes" that are caused by import bugs.

I was forced to watch that show in all it's space soap opera glory and insipid ending.
I should claim punitive damages.

I'm with Addai67 on this. I have several playthroughs, so which one should be canonical? I'm sure I don't know. I'd rather the devs and writers go with the results that produce the best game.

Totally agree - choose a canon Bioware - this having them vanish is lame

Essentially DA3 is the story of Jowan becoming the voice of the resistance and using that power to dominate a cult of female blood mages.  Shortly after stumbling his way into political power he is worried that he will become another pawn of Flemeth's.  Flemeth sort of chuckles at him and wonders why she'd ever want such a useless pawn.  Leliana is in Jowan's head through it all.

lol I'd love to see that story B)

But...but...I killed Jowan!  It wouldn't make any sense!  It would leave me deeply depressed with an urge to post angry rants about the developers for weeks on end!

Leilana is a Chantry Cylon.

Does this mean Dragon Age will end with everyone living like cave men and dying of dissentry?

"War.. War never changes..

Since the dawn of human kind, when our ancestors first discovered the
killing path with rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of
everything, from God, to justice, to simple psychotic rage.

But it was not, as some had predicted, the end of the world. Instead, the apocalypse was just the prolouge to another bloody chapter of human history. For man, had succeded destroying the
world..

But war..
War never changes.."

"War has changed.

It's no longer about nations, ideologies, or ethnicity.

It's an endless series of proxy battles fought by mercenaries and machines. War - and its consumption of life - has become a well-oiled machine.

War has changed.

ID-tagged soldiers carry ID-tagged weapons, use ID-tagged gear. Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities.

Genetic control.

Information control.

Emotion control.

Battlefiled control.

Everything is monitored and kept under control.

War has changed.

The age of deterrence has become the age of control...All in the name of averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction. And he who controls the battlefield...controls history.

War has changed.

When the battlefield is under total control...War becomes routine."

Anyhow, on topic. I wouldn't mind about the canon as long as we can transfer save data (and hopefully works this time. <_< )

Nate is also a bug. Leliana's the only one resurrected and according to Gaider it will be explained

Probably going to be a cop out like "some of the ashes were on the ground, and the dying Leliana managed to get to it.

Although that would be weird as when you kill her as a Warrior you might've done a decapitating finisher (I think it should be possible on her too). Hah..

Here's what happened: There's only one instance where Leliana can die in an obscure way.
BioWare honestly thought people wouldn't care.
But, of course, fans are mean spirited nitpickers so they underestimated that.

So now it's FLIMSY RETCON TIME!

What's really funny imo that they revive Anders and then let you kill him again ... that's kind of ... i don't know.

except..it's not a retcon. In one of his posts David specfically said "Who said it didn't happen?"

So, she did die, but then something brought her back to life. That is not a retcon.

"You killed Leliana, but something brought her back to life." This is a thing that happened.

"You killed Leliana, but we changed it so that she never died." This is a retcon.

Because it didn't happen in DA:O, it's explained after the fact.
But I really don't care myself.

Still doesn't make it a retcon.

I just get tired of everybody using "retcon" with no regard as to what it even means.

It's like when everybodyon the ME boards was claiming EVERYTHING in ME2 was a "plot hole"

OR, you never killed Leliana at all becaue taking her on the Sacred Ashes mission was an obvious mistake and siding with a dragon cult is a silly choice.

My memory on the subject is a little hazy but didn't one of Leliana's possible origins epilogues imply suicide? DA2 Leliana certainly seems to have turned her life around from the depressing state of affairs it was in that particular scenario. But last I checked epilogues were demoted to rumours and hearsay so I guess it's a moot point.

Didn't Gaider said in the was Anders justified thread that Leliana is part of a bigger story that still has to unfold?

Leliana is Andraste reincarnated!

Which would be pretty awesome... because the Bride of the Maker would be a lesbian/bisexual... a lesbian my casteless female dwarf had some sexy time with. How do you like that Maker? The ancestors were probably high fiving each other when a dwarf stole the makers bride Posted Image

I'd be happier if she was just an Evil Twin.

As for the "you didn't see what you thought you saw" I hope that they didn't have the Maker distort reality to let his chosen get away. While they certainly have the right to do that it makes players feel like they have no control in the RPG and the whole point of playing is that you have some limited control over what's going on.

Either way we'll see how things unfold and go from there. I hope that it's something that almost everyone can be happy with.

Note: I never killed her but still I could see how others who would like their reality not to be played with could be upset.

The same way they explained me beheading Teagan.
Gameplay is the lowest form of canon.

Hmm, Andraste did sing. Leliana sings. Maybe they were both fighters. Though Leliana prefers chicks and Andraste had a husband. Maybe Andraste had a girl on the side.

Plus there was the whole Leliana saying the maker was talking to her. Maybe she was right? Probably one of those plots that if it was implemented some would still complain about.
