You have to delete the patch, you'll have to download your dlc again because it's stored in the same file as the patch. When you start the game then just refuse to download the patch.

The initial (unpatched) version had smoother gameplay, so if the framerate inconsistencies of the post patch versions bother you, just play the initial version and patch the game when you're close to the game's finale (to deal with the NG+ glitch). In this way you'll also get rid of the audio cuts during conversations (audio sync issues of course are still present). The Genesis bug was a result of the latest patch so it won't be an issue. Of course the initial version had many crashes and therefore the data corruption issue was more in common but we can't have everything in this life can we Bioware? I am really qurious about what the next patch will fix (or break) but I definately won't install it before your feedback. I am not THAT brave or THAT sober.  I also don't believe in Bioware any more. I really wish EA didn't publish this magnificent game.

I installed the patch a few days ago, and I did so mid-game. I had no problems with the game lining up with the comic intro choices I made. So, I guess its only "New Games" it affects?

That's correct, if you start a new game with the patch then you'll get screwed up choices. That means that even though the patch fixed the New game + glitch, I still can't play it. It disgusts me that a game like this gets released. Thank you for stealing my money Bioware.

so they solve one problem and create another...cm'on bioware! i hope they fix this "new game" problem cuz its really anoying...i'm trying to start a with a diferent class, but i can't becouse my choices are wrong, well personally its only one choice (save/or not council)...so please get it fixed.

My first post here, and it's unfortunately for a bug related to this new update I think.

Started a new game last night, went through the comic, making my choices. I saved Ashley like I always do, and went on my way. Miranda and Jacob questioned me on why I left Kaidan to die, as they're supposed to. After Freedom's Progress, I talk to the Illusive Man about my old squad members, and to my surprise, he talks about Kaidan being alive and well, as if he were the one I saved on Virmire.

I checked this 4 times, making new characters each time, and choosing to save Ashley. Each one ends with Illusive Man saying Kaidan is the one who is alive. I haven't played any of these characters up to Horizon, to see if he actually is the one who survived, as I don't wanna waste all that time to find out, and then start all over, as I do not like Kaidan one bit.

Anyone else have this?

EDIT: Just saw that they're apparently aware of this bug. Hopefully it gets fixed soon!

sorry iam new begginer in this game here, after install the new patch 1.02 and i play the new game + which includes all weapons i collected. but does everybody feel that when playing new game plus u feel like the difficulties goes up because my setting is casual. my shields down just brown out by few shots from the drones in the first mission where i first encounter tali.

I wouldn't know, as I have never played the game on that low of a difficulty. In that regard, all I can say is: use cover.

Everyone calm down. Programing is really damn hard, and sometimes the devs make mistakes. We should have the patch soon.

Does this patch/glitch have any effects on earning an insanity trophy. I might just overlook the Kaiden glitch(even though I don't like him) and start my insanity run anyway while I'll still have the free time.

So to sum it up, if I want to play new game from scratch, I have to use the unpatched version first to make Choices in Genesis correctly, then patch the game after meeting with illusive man ?

Yeah until the fix is released that is what you have to do to make the choices in genesis be implemented correctly. However, the fix will be applied to all new games and save games that have already been started with the early april patch so you could just play knowing that everything would be fixed when the next patch is released.
