So did I, and I'm going to see if I can find it. Poor Janus. From an ancient roman god (and two-faced even), to a profanity on Game-forums. What a fall from grace.

Seriously.

How ironic that the God of doors find himself locked from a forum

Just go all the way and name him Biggus Dikus,

It will go right through the filter = D

This is stupid.

It was Bioware who named their original demo character:

"Strokus Lighthand"

And you put a profanity blocker in?

Super hypocrisy.

Qouted for truth. But isn't it odd that the profanity blocker is being that strict, to pick out pieces of other words?

A profanity blocker that forces you to think dirty.

Weird.

Reading this thread and the other one had me laughing till my tummy hurt, especially when I found out the nam of the 1st demo character was "Strokus Lighthanded". It's sad that a game with so much violence has a profanity filter for uploading characters, but it still made me laugh.

Anyone have the old BG1 manual?

Is "Strokus Lighthand" the correct spelling of the example guy they have in there?

That would be an awesome screen name.

I blame EA. Sounds like their kinda thing. The game is rater "M", but we still have profanity filters both in our characters and on these boards.

Doesn't everyone have the original manual on a shelf above his desk?

It is indeed "Strokus Lighthand", using the Eldoth portrait. ^_^

Edit: Man, I almost feel a bit like crying when I see the humour and excellence this entire manual radiate. Why don't we get things like this anymore?

From the introduction, last paragraph: "Really this introduction is to thank you for playing our game. You playing - and having fun - is what it is all about."
- David "Zeb" Cook.

And from there on, it's 160 pages of information, spells, tables, lore and background. 160 goddamn pages of pure awesome. 160 pages of a quality of manuals like I've never seen since.

:(

I wanted to use Blackstar for a last name in something... forget. Anyways, it told me it was naughty. Blackstar... I guess it's racist?

It's the "J" part. Just name your character "Anus" and it will be fine!

Rofl.

Yeah, it's true I tell you. Everyone knows the J is dirty. Really, I'm not kidding.
