DA:O without a doubt.
If I want Skeletor, Emissary herpderp clowns, anime, and Na'vi, I go get them.
Lone style change negativity exception: The Qunari

If I could sum up DA2's art direction in a word, it'd probably be 'tacky'.

Darkspawn: DA:O
Qunari: DA2
Elves: DA2
Rest: Didn't really notice too much a difference. Get rid off the unnecesary gore and do away with some cartoonish elements (Meredith fight?) and I'm fine. Templars and such look the same to me.

A thousand times DA:O over DA2.

DAO. DA2 looked prettier but if we're talking about style and not the actual quality of the graphics, I prefer DAO's dark fantasy setting than DA2's exploding bodies and cartoony feel.
In DA2, Meredith jumps about 700 foot in the air. Flemeth is a female Quanari. All the cameos actually look considerably worse despite being a 16 months or so newer game. Really?

DA:O
Da2 looked more like some generic high fantasy rather than the dark fantasy setting it was supposed to be. Animations and many weapon designs were way too over the top in DA2.

I like elements of both, truth be told.
Elves, Qunari: DAII
Facial animations: DAII
Enviroments: Both. Mix 'em

Dragon Age: Origins by far. The Templar armor from Origins >>>>>>>> Dragon Age 2 Templar armor.
I honestly can't understand what they were thinking with Dragon Age 2...

DA:O (Xbox)
There were some nice changes and a few characters were rather well done in DA2 but over all I was thoroughly disappointed.

I don't see much of a difference, to be honest. I like the character art (including weapons and armor) from DAII, but I like Origins' environments better. Well, the indoors ones. Wounded Coast is better than any of the outdoors Origins maps. Unfortunately, we only get one >.<

DA 2 - PS3
Change some things, but overall a big improvement to the generic fantasy look of DA:O.
