DA2 - PC. Everything about the style is better than it is in DA:O, especially the fighting animations.

I would like to see the ages of people who like each respective style, I think that would be far more interesting.

I wish they really had poll option in these threads. Not knowing the results makes these even more useless.

DA2. I prefer most of the character redesigns and felt the style in general was a lot more distinctive.
Plus I adored the animations in the loading screens. Really great stuff.

ok, im not bashing or trying to be cheeky. but i have DAO up right now, max settings, and im playing the game. What style? it all seems extremely generic, well done, but still generic. and thats the backgrounds/landscapes. The npc's are horrible and awkward looking, in fact the only thing more ugly/awkward looking are the elves/dwarves and sten.
I like the armor of the darkspan, but as far as there heads...just looks like a bunch of lumpy gangreen skin, admittedly i actually like them better then the darkspawn in DA2.
The backgrounds are prettier and more detailed then DA2, but id hope so given how many years they spent. still not much in style though.
elves=awkward tiny humans, boring
sten=sickly slightly larger human, sickly looking that is
dwarves=omg they look creepy cuz of there odd skeletal structure.
So, i like DA2 art direcitno more, but id also like more detail, but art direction i mean the abstract bases for hte concepts, id like more detail, and more detailed landscapes that stretch out into the horizon. and by god, qunari with horns look so much better, elves look better, and dwarves dont look creepy anymore. im a big fan of varric cuz its finally a awesome dwarf that isnt sterotypically dwarf.

DA2. I think character, armor, and weapon designs were much stronger in DA:2. Backgrounds and creature designs could have used a bit more of Origin's design/depth. Overall I think the different design elements worked together better in DA:2.

DAO PC, just more consistent and detailed for me. I didn't mind the Qunari change, but that's about it.

DAO - PC
Oh and less jelly blood please... It just look stupid =/.
And yes the graphics are overall better in DA2 (- the obvious cardboard npc's)

DA2 definitely (PS3)
DA:O's was incredibly generic - actually according to some dev's quote, "fantasy generic" was really what they were aiming for.

DA:O over all because it was more cohesive...
But I do enjoy the new close-range animations for archers and mages.

Which visual style would you like to see in DA3? (style, not quality - I'm speaking of the whole look & feel of the game, the darkspawn, the elves, the general tone etc.)
Please give your feedback in short form - DA:O or DA2, followed by platform (same as in jbanchiere's thread).
DA2.. just without enemies exploding at the slightest hit. Cut 'em up a bit, sure. But.. exploding into a dozen pieces with gallons of blood spewing in every direction? No thanks.

I'd blend them together like coffee and cream. Then it'd be a frappuccino of awesome perfection.
