How do they even get their orders straight? "I want Sten to do XXXX and Sten you lead your unit and flank the enemy while Sten you provide cover fire..." Don't they at least have numbers or something? It'd be one thing if they're just a hive mind but they're not.

You know, if they ever do bring Sten back, I hope they let him keep the two-handed tree from Origins as his "special" tree, it'd be great. Immune to stun and knockdown, huh?

Plus you know every Qunari warrior in Seheron is going to lust after the sweet Blood Dragon Armor he came home in. :D

I think someone said they use their full titles, like Sten of the 12 batallion of the beresaad or something.

I do wonder how they distinguish between each other, did the Arishok ever have trouble giving orders, such as

'Sten I want you to go capture noble x,... no not you Sten, Sten,' another Sten steps forward, 'no not you, you're going to lead the attack on Lowtown, I mean Sten with the chip of his right horn.'.

Edit: ninja'd :P

lol.  I had this mental image of the Warden trying to go visit Sten after she sets off on her walkabout.  "Hi, I'm here looking for a friend of mine, he's a Sten."  "Which one?"  "Well, he's really TALL, he has WHITE HAIR . . ."  "You're kidding me."  "I'd like to see you describe individual humans, buster."

They have further names that they use to distinct themselves. If this is part of their genetic name or something like company is unknown.

I wonder if they have cool badass company names. Like "basbane". Or "Qunwrath".
Of couse in their own language.

HAHAHHA!  I thought the exact same thing, when I was scouring the Qunari base on the docks hoping to find Sten, THE Sten, and I started hoping I could ASK someone about him.  THEN I remembered that I wouldn't be able to convey to them which one I was talking about... T_T

They sound like Borg, which might not be to far off the mark in some respects

What I just thought about: If a convert who already converted to the Qun (so he is no Kabethari/simple person anymore) would leave the Qun, would he be a Tal-Vashoth or a Bas again?

Beresaad, Fourth Division, Eighth Unit, "The Cookie Eaters"

"WTF kind of unit name is this?"
"Well I like it."
"You're insane.  Those humans drove you insane.  You even talk to that dog."
"The dog understands me perfectly."
"I can't believe the Arishok made you a general."

Tal-Vashoth probably, as they knew the "truth" and then chose to turn from it.

You could try, but Asala means "soul" so they'd probably think you were nuts.  Knowing what nickname another Qunari gives his weapon is probably like knowing what a buddy decided to nickname his genetalia.  You'd only find out by accident, and YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW.

Well, the lack of horns would at least narrow the search down.

I thought Asala just meant soul, so would be the name every qunari warrior calls his weapon, possibly.

I am not sure Sten would appreciate you comparing his sword to a penis, as flaterring as that may be :D

I agree with the first guy, they should clearly be the cookie crunchers, or possibly cookie crumblers.

I vote for "Fat Kid's Bane" as Stens Unitname and the battle cry shall be: "Surrender your confections! You don't need more!"

You could always try telling them he has pretty blue eyes awwww so cuuuuuute and see where that gets you. Heck, I'd try that just to see the look on the face of the man you were questioning.  And the look on Sten's face when the news that you were looking for him this way gets back to HIM.  You know everyone in the Antaam would forever after refer to him as "pretty blue eyes".  He'd NEVER live it down.

Didn't believe I was a woman, huh, didja?  WELL HERE'S PAYBACK.
