1. I would like the ability to choose who I want to join on my quest.

What do I mean?

It would be interesting if you had the choice to join the Templars, Grey Wardens, Circle Mages, etc. It you were a Warrior for instance, you could be recruited to be a Templar, where you would be trained, attaining the skills needed and going on missions specific to that of the Templar Order. You may even be treated differently by the townsfolk by being a Templar.

2. Being a Blood Mage has Consequences
A Blood Mage is the reason why people are so afraid of Mages in the first place. It`s the reason why the Chantry is so strict on how they believe Mages in general should be treated in general. It`s a dangerous practice, and I want to actually see that in the gameplay and in the story. Similar to that of the Wild Mage from Throne of Bhaal, Blood Magic should be a high risk high reward type of specialization. There could be moments when a demon is summoned without warning attacking everything in its path, including you. In addition, people could respond to you in accordance with your practice.

1. Said plenty but still must be heard more map variety.
2.Real atmosphere as opposed to the recycled sound bits heard throughout kirkwall as the sound of distant bellowing was almost as tedious as the recycled level design.
3. No kirkwall ever a gain
4. I remember them mentioning it being their goal for it to be more than one country. Have that instead of Orlais as those accents heard constantly would lead to pain from teeth grinding.
5. Those who died do reveal themselves as faking it just spits in the face of what is player choice.
6. Caves are going be in it if in let them feel like caves not some run down atrium with holes in the ceiling as caves are dank and dark.
7. The majority of elves looking less batlike. It was just so creepy that humans in Thedas find them so gorgeous with their bat like skin on their face. Merril and fenris weren't ugly as they seemed exception to battish features akin to most and Fenris being large in comparison to most elves. I seriously Skyrim high elves as some them looked weird but others were lovely looking in the way akin to panthers and jaguars.Or at least lampshade in game from certain npc's or companions that they don't know what the big deal is about the elves and where the dwarf women are as they are the most buxom.
8.Rhys frorm Asunder and Evangeline. Since Wyne is gone he would be the voice of reason for mages and I would like to see the effects of Evangeline's change with a spirit in her and its implications their presence would bring light in the dark situation with their relationship.
9. More classes to choose from for each character type. Spirit warrior had potential and could be great against abominations better than most templars.
10. Choices like nature of the beast where in which one can end things positively and feel good about it as opposed to dragon age 2 where in which everything goes to hell without your help.
11. A protagonist that is actually pro-active on occasion rather than just standing around while a woman kills a man to engage in a blood magic ritual. :pinched:<_<
12.  Humour more akin to monty python rather than poty humor or libido humor.
13. See empress Celene herself. Despite my desirre for Orlais to not being the predominat part of the game she is too intriguing. Though Orlais is in shamlbes so she could be on the run and the constant assasination attempts have helped her adjust. Just would be intrigued to see if she fights to restore her power because she likes it or to help her people in general. She did bring improvements such as better education but she does still allow the peasents to have no rights and noblemen can have their way any non-noble woman.
14. If going to Orlais let there be a part to attend. This part will not have  the same dresses like Origin of MOA but have attire that is embodies decadence with absurd hair and puffy skirts. Let it be a glamerous paint job on the corrupt nobles who would do anything for more power even if it meant ruining and old friends reputation for life.
15. Mages actually having self control rather than fall into every demons demands.
16. Imrpove fade sequences  and alter them depending on charcter choice and background.
17. Adrian: She caused a lot grief in Asunder and it would be great to be giver her the commupence she deserves. along with her looking fourty rahter a twenty something with hair dyed silver.
18. Dwarf Women being back as it good see most genders of every race seen along with them looking better now while still keeping their lovely curves.
19. Word on the old god child. If the father was Allister I would love to hear Morrigan complain of her son having once said "swooping is bad" .
20. Have choices being greatly expanded. Instead of having he option of just trying to fight for the mages or templars let there be other options. Let us play all sides to gain more power or agree with the Qunari sense of thinking.
21. Dark spawn being creepy again not chimpanzee or gorillas.
22. Origins again. Certain Kossith had to been seperated from qunari and the women just embody amazon beauty. If in Orlais  the human choice should be Chevalier. The good and noble one would try help fight against an enemies corrupt acts against local peasents. It would appear one saved by you would be a victim but really an actor set by your enemy. Eventually you go up against your rival personally only for wounded gazelle to come in with higher authorities proclaiming you assaulted her. You get aressted but escape when mages attack the  caravans hoping it has food on it as some of those circles are secluded and those mages likely can't farm. You skitter away from them and then encounter who else Flemeth who so bemused with your tenacity gives you healing and a gift that could save many or lead to more personal power. Corrupt one could be be that fight agaisnt a noble to gain and hte peasents realizing the situation is detiroating everywhere just drop everything and kill their overlords. Escape of course but only barely when templars in withdraw correctly or in correctly identify you as a mage and attack but then Flemeth sees them same strength in you to come to your rescue.
Dalish: Due to their respect of mages the circles try to contact them for support. Either be against support or with them. Go with the support and templar ambush leading to many deaths seperation from your clan. If a mage be a witness to the tranquil ritual on others while just getting out in the nick of time.  Then you encounter Adrian who at first seems understanding and sweet if a mage but briefly. If not she will be whiny and entitled as to why the Dalish hesitate to help the circles mages. First go along but then see her attack random people for suspected Templar alliance and say something against it and she attacks you in suspicion but get the better of her through manipulating the environment and get away from her.  Eventually find out how chaotic it all is but then get companisons to help the templars or mages or to help raise more power for the personal faction over all other groups.
Kossith:wub::wub:"Species name for the original Qunari". A slave for an Orlesian lord. A  pirate raid on a settlement had one Kossith child taken as a prize and one Orlesian could not resist the bragging rights. If not a mage then be a toy to orlesian lord who loves to show off his rare toy. A victim but do mistrust few will even come near expect to gawk.  Noble master gets killed in a peasent rebellion and have to flee. A mage would inadvertently kill master before the peasents and then dunces go after you. Few will trust you as mages only know of the horrors qunari due to their own mages and templars just see an invader and someone against the chant of light. More hostile dialgoue but also more shocked reactions  when taking the funny dialogue choice.

Templar: Just a random member with friends and rivals who joined becuase they wanted to help people or for power. Have been assigned to distant village far enough way to not be initially effected by the war. Have been encouraged to be loyal to the divine or to go with rebel templars. Mages come lead by Adrian but Rhys is also. They come for food as their fighters have little. They realize your templar you get nearly killed Rhy steps in. Templars from the broken away faction attack everyone indiscrimiatley as they think all are under a blood mages control. You can choose certain mages escape with your lives or old friends in the templars. Choosign determines how open either faction is to you.
Mage: Fought against the templars the held you in the circle since you were 4 so being with  kindred mages imprisioned by templars is all you know. Have entire group slaughtered by templars and rebel soldiers fighting for a imperial minded man. Find new clothes that do not betray your mage heritage and go into nearby settlements to see both sides of the war and gather people together to help the mages or bring a truce with the templars, or to be rise ones standing higer than any magister.
Dwarf noble: Orzammar has gotten better one old the cotoes reclaimed contains forgotten knowledge that could be a great advantage for any of the factions in the mage templar war.  Both sides know so they send people down and since the nobles refuse they bring the civil war down to the deep rods trying to gain an advantage  with you barely escaping.
Casteless Dwarf: The war makes thing unstable so official lyrium trade is not as satisfying to the loyal templars and rebel templars. They promise to pay greatly and agree to mine a ore vein in rarely visisted area of the deep roads. While there mages come in attack the one who supplies their enemy. They can be reasoend as they need lyrium too but the templars followed you. Choose which side to against but only  one member remains yet has no grudge against you and that person will help you gain favor in their faction.
City elves:blush: not much power or reason for respect unless a warden.

23.  Have orlesian men sound more like Strouss rather than Baron Arlange.
24. Show things are desperate gradually rather than have npcs going crazy for supposedly bad circumstances that the only escape is through possession.
25. Someone besides Hawke<_< who can save the world from itself. By actually being proactive rather than allow possesed mages roam free.

What I liked about Origins and DA 2, and what I didn’t like
about each and what I hope Bioware does for DA3. In no particular order

Combat

Somewhere in between Origins super slow combat and DA2’s exaggerated
teleporting rogues and swinging greatswords like they were little daggers.
Origins realistic combat was good, I liked it and it fell well within the ‘Baldur’s
Gate Successor’ that DA was supposed to be, while DA2 went too far from what
made DAO such a great game.

Art and Graphics

DA2’s art was beautiful, outside of Kirkwall anyway, while
DAO’s occasionally felt rather empty. I like the artistic direction DA2 went
in.

Voiced Protagonist (Very Important)

I enjoyed having a voiced protagonist, but I really didn’t
like the consequences of having a voiced protagonist (from here on in called
VP). A VP is great it makes your character more believable and makes
conversations seem less one sided. On the other hand it also meant that you
were stuck with a human character, because it would have been 3 times as
expensive to do Voice Overs for a dwarven protagonist and an elven protagonist.
If given a choice between having more character diversity and having a VP I
would pick character diversity. The only way I could support a VP in future DA
games is if bioware finds a way to allow you to maintain character diversity
and have a VP.

Note: what I mean by character diversity is that your
character in DAO could have come from one of six different backgrounds and that
affected the story differently at certain points in the game. (DA3 doesn’t need
6 origin stories, but being able to pick from being a human, elf, dwarf and
maybe even Qunari would be great)

Dialogue Wheel

I enjoyed it, unlike other people I was never surprised by
what my Hawke did, but at it did have some draw backs. By limiting responses to
either 1) Helpful/Friendly, 2) Sarcastic/Witty, or 3) Aggressive/Douchy I felt
DA2 took something away from us. When you talk to someone you feel like ‘I am
making a Diplomatic Hawke, so at every opportunity I need to select the #1
option’. I didn’t like this, I preferred DAO’s ability to select different
dialogue options without being told ‘this is the angry response’. If Bioware
intends to continue this trend I would ask that you at least include a fourth
choice because being pigeon holed into Friendly, Witty or Angry isn’t all there
is in life. Maybe split angry/aggressive into 2 categories, one which is nicer
but still direct and no-nonsense and one that remains douchebagy.

Companions

I liked the fact that your companions had a life apart from
following you in DA2, they had houses (or a clinic for Anders) and would visit
each other on occasion. I think this aspect of DA2 should definitely carry over
to DA3 and maybe even be expanded. I.E. have times where companions visit each
other not just because you have a quest to talk to one of them, but just do it
all on their own.

At the same time I felt constricted by DA2’s limited
selection of companions. You had 2 warriors, 2 rogues and 2 mages (plus DLC
char’s) and maybe Beth/Carver at the beginning and end. In DAO you had 3
warriors, 2 rogues, 2 mages and a dog (again plus DLC and ‘secret character’).
The main difference apart from numbers was that Leliana could use daggers or
bows, your choice and Sten could be sword and board if you wanted. You could
pick the companions you wanted[/i] and
then make them fit in your party rather than in DA2 having to pick companions
that would fit and hoping they were who you wanted.

Rival/Friendship system

Awesome! You can change Merrills mind about blood magic (by
the very end of the game, but still it’s possible to have her smash her mirror)
and make Anders regret blowing up the chantry (if rivaled he realizes he was
wrong and wishes you’d killed him ‘long ago’). This system works so much better
than Origins give gifts to make up for them not liking your choices. And
speaking of gifts… the gifts in DA2 were better handled, they would prompt a
convo and depending on your choices in the conversation give you friendship or
rivalry points.

The only bad thing about this system was that it seemed much
too easy to me to max out my companions by the beginning of act 2 and then the
whole rest of the game I could pick any option I wanted and their points wouldn’t
change. I do think locking their points when you reach the cap should remain,
BUT Origins giving increasing benefits as you progressed should also return.
I.E. have a companion bonus at say 50% friend/rival and then improve it at 100%
then also make it take more points to reach the max, thereby making it seem
more like a journey and less like a rush to the finish.

Companion Trees (Important to me)

I liked this idea at first, until I got a look at Anders
tree and my Mages Spirit Healer tree. Anders is just a lame version of spirit
healer, he doesn’t get improved healing talents and his ‘panacea’ isn’t even
half as good as hawkes (Hawkes does 2x healing rate and effects bigger area AND
costs less). The main problem was that the dev’s treated a companion tree as
though it were one of Hawke’s trees and limited the number of points you could
invest into it. If instead they realized Hawke gets 2 specializations and each
companion only gets one they could have given 30-50% more talents to each
companion tree and still had them smaller than Hawkes but large enough to feel
useful. They could have flushed out Anders healing abilities, maybe not given
him Vitality or Second Chance to keep those unique to Hawke, but giving him
improvements to group heal, revive and panacea. Had they made Companion trees
about 1.5x the size of a normal tree then they would have been great.

Specializations

This is one my biggest problems with DA2. If you were a
female mage who practiced blood magic you could have sex with Anders and he
would love you, but he would always[/i]
hate Merrill, no matter what, just because she was a blood mage. Hell if you[/i] were a blood mage you could run
around saying blood magic is bad, makes no sense. Either have characters react
to your specializations or include specializations that aren’t provocative.
(Only include blood mage if people can respond to the fact that you use
forbidden magic)

One other concern was the lack of diversity compared to DAO
in terms of specializations (3 in DA2, 4 in DAO or 6 with xpac). Sure some of
the abilities/ideas were moved from specializations to normal skill trees, but
as a mage if you want to go offensive and don’t want to be stuck with healing
aura you only have 2 choices: force mage (which has some cool benefits, but was
lack luster compared to blood mage in my opinion) or blood mage. Warrior Spec’s
didn’t really include something that would help a tank (Templar gets close, but
Reaver and Beserker are pure dps adding trees, none compare to Guardian). I
enjoyed being a Champion and shouting warcrys (you can kinda do this in DA2
with certain trees, but I liked the specialization). Basically more choices is
good.

On a similar note there was no ‘melee mage’ while in DAO
there were 2, either shapeshifter or arcane warrior.

In terms of the fact that you had to unlock the spec’s that
was cool, but ultimately pointless since they unlocked by account rather than
by play through.

TL;DR no way to shorten this, read if you want posting TL'DR is just silly so if you don't like readying long things then just don't comment

In both Dragon Age games, I found it hard to remember who a lot of (relatively) important characters were whilst I was talking to characters. I didn't break the game but it did cause me to become confused about portions of the story. I wouldn't suggest having less characters or anything, but making it somehow easier to recall who they were considering there are near enough hundreds. I don't know if it's my attention span or something like that, but it was hard to keep focus I found. At least on the first playthrough.
Beyond that? I'm keeping to the PC so if there's support for weaker machines, that would be fantastic. (Also, Toolset!)

I want them to continue the fluid combat approach. I would like less of the political statements, both Fereldan and Real World *rolls eyes*, to be made and to place more of an emphasis on the fantasy. I would like more brightness towards the end; nowadays everyone wants to be gritty and "real," so they pound us over the head with harshness, when all I want is to escape to a virtual world where I know I can turn bad situations into a good resolve. Less protagonist-sexual characters (characters who are bisexual for your character no matter their own identities), and more distinct paramours; meaning if one character is straight they remain straight, if another is gay keep them gay, and likewise with a bisexual character. More open worlds would be nice. More distinct loot; giving me rumpled trousers or fancy rope seems to undercut the whole looting experience. Riding a mount at a certain part of the game would be interesting and appreciated.

Story wise: it must focus around Morrigan, Flemeth and the "God child" and the newly erupting civil war between Mages and Templars. I would love to play as the "God child" and meet my Warden father. It would be really interesting to see the soul of a tainted god manifested into a human body that restores balance to the world. I would also really like to see the Tevinter Imperium and how people there live with Mages being the ones in control. Perhaps that is where Morrigan escaped to? The "God Child" could possess memories and abilities from long before the 'Dragon Age' and the Tevinter Mages could attempt to use them as the ultimate weapon against the Templars? I would also really enjoy a more 'free style' in shaping the story, for example, you can attack and kill anyone regardless of their position or status and that can have little or massive consequences to the main story. I think the 'shaping your own legend' should be a fundemental part of the DA series and you need to supply players with heaps of options and alternate story paths to enable that. Action reaction is the key.

Locations: I'm not particulary interested in Orlais as that style and architecture was done so brilliantly in the Assassins series already. I really enjoyed Fereldan and i would like to return for sections of DA3 and not so much Kirkwall. I would also really enjoy a more open world feel where instead of travelling via map, you need to literally travel those distances.

Companions: Anders, Merrill (seeings as shes an elven blood mage), and return of Alistair in some form. Also companions should be introduced and involved in different ways, not just hanger ons that are there for the ride..similar to Anders, they need to have stronger motives and goals of their own which could jeopardise your goals. It always frustrated me when some companions completely disagreed yet still followed you (apart from Wynne and Leliana at the Urn of Sacred Ashes). Maybe the introduction of 'in party' fighting within the story archs?

All in all, I enjoyed DAO more than DA2 because DAO had far more epicness and a sense of honor and duty within the notion of saving the world. DA2 felt more self serving and oportunistic. DA3 needs to extend the awesome stories whilst enhancing the gameplay that we began to see in DA2.

I choose to specialize in Blood Mage, but there is no comment about me practicing it while they keep harping poor Merrill for using it. I want customization to be taken into account while playing.

Romance wise: I like how Mass Effect has so many love interests, maybe even a Qun LI would be nice. Isabella needs to be back in the next game, she's just so awesome in every way. I like how same sex relationship is being treated in this game. There is no discrimination. In Mass Effect 3, if you are a guy you're stuck with just one same sex and one bisexual. It limits a lot of choices in regard to role-playing.

Race: I like how the Warden can be many races. It gives us more customizations and freedom in how we play our game.

the idea of guilds like GenRtin mentioned would be cool except you would be restricted by class and it was announced that BW is studying Skyrim thoroughly so i would like to be able to use both swords and magic like in the original DA:O Arcane Warrior, so to sum it up i would like there to be no classes to chose from for the pc the protagonist (we all know its a new char) was a mage before the game started but he alsow knew how to use weapons to hide the fact that he is a mage
