- Why cant my rogue automatically see I brittilized someone and smack him with that nifty xxx% finisher?
- Spells that work together like petrify and stonefist make ore that work in that way
classes that MATTER.
- If I choose to be a mage, you know what, I should LIVE the life as a mage, taking on the grief they do and the potential choices they must be plagues with. Make me care that I am a mage!
Professions that MATTER.
- If I chose to be a Templar, make it matter. Your mage companions may or may not instantly leave you. You might actully have to join the Imperial Chantry. Lots of potentials to making such a story-arc choice.
- If I chose mage, and decided to become a Blood Mage, make it mean something.
People should distrust you initially considering the bad rap that Blood Mages get.
Not all Blood Mages are abominations. Some actually can 'wheel and deal' with demons and still not become possessed o insane horrors. Apparently my Warden and Hawke can matriculate with demons quite well.
Companions that CARE about what you do.
- If I deal with a Desire Demon and a companion is against dealing with demons, don't just cop out with a minus xx approval rating. Have them EXPRESS their dislike, maybe I can reverse their thoughtswith a good explaination why, because maybe they misinterpreted the situation? SO much content missing that could be there to make DA2 and potentially DA3 rediculously interesting and replayable!
Storyline that reflects my profession choices.
Being 'destined' to become the Champion of Kirkwall is great, but WHAT kind of champion?
Did it matter the Champion was a Blood Mage, potentially changing an age-old conception of what Blood Mages truly can become instead of merely only insane abominations?
Could the Champion been a Templar that wiped out an uprising of a potentially new Imperium?
Lots of potential to make sweeping upgrades to DA3.
Consider it!

I want SOME chat options for companions like in DA:O, having none didn't make much of a difference for the characters you kept in your party because I felt like the inter-party banter filled the role. The inter-party banter doesn't help those not in your party.
I liked the combat system in DA2 better, but the combat design, outside of bosses was worse. Having waves is ok. Having waves every single engagement is tiresome.
The lack of choosing a specialization for your companions was not a favorite of mine. This mostly comes down to not being able to have a spirit healer that isn't Anders or me. Maybe allow them 2 specializations again, one that is "lore-centric" like DA:2 has, and then choice of another. Or don't make group heal/res available to only one companion.
Inventory management isn't particularly compelling.
Make class/spec choices have some effect on the dialogue/npc reaction. Casting spells in front of Cullen should have elicited a response.

Qunari main character. Barring that more Qunari interaction pls.
More Flemeth (also Morrigan).
I'm sure there's more.
Edit: Oh. Right. Less reused areas. I'm not saying don't reuse areas, just don't reuse them so dang MUCH. Also, if you do reuse an area, but cut off access to a portion, cut off that portion in the minimap too please.

I would like to bring back the ability to randomly chat to your companions, taking it away was a big disappointment for me, DAO those interactions made things seem plausible. Like when whether they were in camp or not, simply being able to strike up a conversation at a whim was a good touch and made me care about the characters more, like listening to all of Leiliana's stories, which i feel is sadly lacking in DA2,
I'm on my second run through now and use the same character set where i can to try and get that emotional attachment, on Act 2 and dont feel anything.
side note, the romances, albeit not essential, do seem more realistic if you can actually have romantic conversations not just on bioware's say so.
This is by no means saying i'm not enjoying DA2 because i am!!
Oh, and give us back our choices....i feel that even though i'm making opposite decisions to fitst run through i'm still coming to exactly the same outcomes. The whole variety of options presented in DAO made me feel like serious decisions were on the cards, ie siding with werewolves or elves, save the anvil or not, who to be king/queen. These all felt like big decisions and inspired my second and third run throughs and in some cases I STILL couldnt bring myself to make decisions (expect i had to for those damn trophies!! hehe).
I'm actually struggling to think of those BIG decisions in DA2.
One more thing, on the topic of trophies, a silver trophy (ps3) for level 20 doesnt cut it on its own, you should put a trophy out for rogue, mage and warrior...just a suggestion though...the others you must investigate and apply immediately...jk

Also...
dwarves & elves as PC's
backstory (origins) for the above
Varric!!!!!!!!!
Perhaps a DLC where you can import your warden or Hawke.

-- A story that makes me forget about all the bad things in the world
-- I want to see the choices I made in prior games respected. If someone is dead they should stay dead. If someone romanced XYZ I'd like to see them together later if they make a cameo.
-- I want an epilogue that goes over some of the major decisions made in the prior games and tells you what impacts the decisions had
-- I want to see a less "arcady" look and feel in the game [at least in terms of combat]
-- I don't want the Morrigan / Flemeth / God baby thing to be left hanging
-- I want to see what happens with the whole circle vs. chantry thing

^ So much this. I miss conversations and arguments. I think there were about 5 or 6 times in DA2 where you could talk to each of your companions at scripted points. DAO had less of that but also had the whole camp conversation set for those of us who want to know more about our companions.Kitaen wrote...

I'd like to see choice actually factor into how the world around us changes, instead of being a linear progression where it doesn't matter. I'd like to see the protagonist's actions carry some weight and actually impact the people and factions in the storyline, instead of always reacting to events that are happening.
The dialogue options should also be clear in expressing what's actually said, instead of acting as a guessing game where the option states one thing, and Hawke says something entirely different than intended. I think is is important because we should have more control over the personality and beliefs of the protagonist. This is an RPG, and I would like to shape who the protagonist is, not be forced to deal with a pre-set personality.
Yeah this sums it up for me pretty well.
Also I want it to take place in Tevinter and i want another female elf LI! lol

hey after reading this i had some arguments
mainly with the whole templar blood mage and charecter approval system but i will just say this
bioware shouldnt mix the rpg with the gameplay this is going for all there games like in da2 with bethanny
if you dont bring anders along in deeep roads she dies but if you do she comes back at last part of the game
problems with this are that having to bring anders changes the gameplay
the way i do it would be have a balanced team but i f you want bethanny to live you have 2 bring 3 low health ranged allies and depending what class you are the quest could be made more difficult for the players who play taticly on higher difficulties
bioware should somehow fix incidents like this
or
have less restrictions as i said before so i can make the ranged charecters have higer armour
in da2 you could not change companion armour
if companions care about how you want to play this can make the game less enjoyable for die hard rpg gamers
however what Kitaen said is not to be dismissed and hopefully bioware can find a compromise for gameplay and rpg
msg me if you dont understand

Bird's eye camera, non-friendly fire melee attacks/abilities regardless of difficulty (you want FF on whilrwind, fine, but not mighty blow), a setting that allows me to turn the game into a turn-based one if the combat is kept relatively similar.
More development time! (HA! Cheapshot!!)

maybe if they put an option for this in the settings
would only take about 5 mins to code

class based origins story
on dao i played a human noble who for some reason could pick locks steal set traps etc because he was a rouge i get the warrior class and the mage class was exclusive so no problems there but come on bioware can i be an assasain or spy or world class thief when i play as a rouge
or a student or teacher or apostate when i play as a mage
or a knight or general as a warrior
who thinks these origins are good

Flemeth, and an explanation of sorts.
Cullen.
Bodahn/Sandal.
What was that blasted idol.
Open up the exploration maps.
More companion interaction/banter/randomness.
An option to clock the odd npc.

- More party interaction. I don't like this idea that it took 3 years to bed Isabela, or that after one night Merrill moves into your house or the relationship is over. That is unrealistic.
- More female LI's... make them bi if you have to, but for the love of god... no more, "one or the other" stuff... there's never any middle ground.
- Don't create all kinds of cool elemental weapons for the final Act, and then give us only a handful of creatures to use them on... if a game must be sectioned off into "Acts," then for the love of god don't make the final one boring as hell with nothing to kill.
- More options for influencing the outcome of quests. Don't stick us with a bunch of depressing, inevitable outcomes simply because you want to live up to the "dark fantasy" reputation. Dark fantasy blows. Nothing wrong with a little sunshine.
- No time jumps, and no Acts. No framed narrative. Just give us a normal game please.
- No more recycled areas. None.
- More helmets that fully cover the face. Just a personal choice.
- Dual wield warriors... in fact, give warriors access to all weapon styles again.
- A necromancer and/or summoner class... why not?
Eh... I have more, but whatever. I'm done. I don't want to just sit here griping...

Alienating any potential allies, demons summoned may try to posess you rather than fight your enemies, the need to carry around corpses to shove demons into them to animate them(Necromancy in DA) etc...
