didnt read through this so it may have been said but

more meaningful weapons and armor, i hardly have to use anything found in game because of DLC items (i know i dont have to use em shh) it would be nice to find something after some challenge (some big fight/puzzle/quest chain) and not laugh at it and discard it

ive only played on hard

maybe i exaggerated a bit, it just felt like (at least in the beginning) everything was handed to me and while some dlc items i didnt use or use very long there were some that felt like i used forever

One of my favourite moments in Dragon Age is when you storm Denerim and your whole enterage shows up and the waves of cannon fodder come out and it's clear you guys are going to woop some butt but also feels like a city is at siege and a war is happening and EVERYONE you recruited is helping and has something to contribute to the major goings on.

A big failing in DA2, Act 2 finale, which was the best part of the game ironically, was that when the Qunari invasion started, it was just Hawke going up with 3 buddies (or less) to storm the Viscounts Keep...why not make it ATTEMPT to be epic like the Denerim storming in the last part of Origins?

Why not?

Probably because it was a rush job, though I'm sure DA2 defenders and fanboys will run in to disagree with me.

I would love to see another army storming big fight scene like Denerim in DA3, where you can fight with all your companions at the same time (not just 3) and extra soldiers on your side. AND...this is a very good time to use a "wave" mechanic, which I normally loathe, but actually makes sense in a fight like this. But in very few other places.

Are you listening Bioware?

hopefully bioware will release patches to fix some rough spots in the game how ever they did improve the game play other then the obvious plot they updated graphics and there cut scenes were better, major improvement in voice acting from DA:O

Chances are the protagonist will be Fereldan, even if it's set in Orlais. Face it, every other country in DA has outlandish, one-note cultures. Orlais is made up of fashioned-obsessed snobs or religious people, Antiva is full of promiscuous assassins, the Free Marches have insanity, Rivain is has pirates and fortune tellers, Tevinters are mage Romans, the Dalish are half Romani half Jews...Ferelden has the easiest people to relate to. Ferelden is the generic guy in Thedas, which opens up more roleplaying possibilities. For example, a kindhearted Tevinter magister would not make sense. Nor would a kindhearted Orlesian nobleman.

In other words, we will probably always have a Fereldan protagonist. Generic enough to fit everyone's mold.

So...

Leliana was just there to teach my Wardens what colour dresses they should wear?

Zevran was just about sex?

Isabella said every Rivaini is a pirate?

Fenris said every mage in Tevinter is a Magister?

Wow, how did I miss all of this? Image IPB

In other words, don't paint everyone with the same brush.

In the former case, it wouldn't make sense. Isn't Tevinter basically an entire country's worth of strawmen meant to show that mages cannot be trusted with leadership ever, or else they will make a country that runs on evil?

In the latter case, perhaps, but they'd still end up being annoying fops.

It'd be awesome if the Maker was like a feeble, infirm old man with no actual powers. Just a charlatan fooling everyone into worshipping him.

So we go with the ones that have a creepy obsession with dogs?

Totally.
It's simple, really. I mean...who can teach you how to turn into a dragon?

I rest my case.

Not just any dogs. Big badass dogs. It's no more arbitrary than Rome's fetish for eagles or England's for lions.

Let's see: Go to Orlais, more Leliana. The Warden and Hawke fighting together united against whatever happens in DA3.

Maybe a scene with Merrill and Leliana, well you know how :D

It will most likely throw a hissy fit and abandon humanity yet again. Good riddance
