6) Zevran vs. Isabela (Zevran. If you spec him right he's very useful and strong. Isabela is hot.)

I left out Sten because... well, he's Sten. He wouldn't partecipate in a whimsical tournament like this!

1) Aveline. Easily.

2) Varric. I like Leliana, but Varric's arrows and chest hair would win out.

3) Morrigan. Without a doubt.

4) Fenris. Honestly, this was a tough one. But he has the whole glowy hand thing, so I think that in and of itself makes him the winner.

5) Wynne. More experienced.

6) Isabela. Boobs of glory.

7) Shale. Because Shale is just awesome. And Sebastian's arrows aren't going to do much damage to rock.

Surprised so many people pick Morrigan. I guess it depends on how they are speced but Merrill using blood magic and having her const pumped up instead of Willpower is nothing short of a devastating mage tank.

It's a massacre, and ends with Hawke and the Warden staring at a bloody arena holding popcorn.

1) Alistair vs. Aveline - Aveline, hands down. Alistair is a good and strong guy, but Aveline would make him dead with just a stare.

2) Leliana vs. Varric - Bianca is the strong element here, but I don't think Varric is as sneaky as Leliana. She survived a whole 'being dead' situation after all 

3) Morrigan vs. Merrill - Morrigan. She can turn into a giant spider while Merrill just makes cute faces.

4) Oghren vs. Fenris - Fenris of course. It's also important to note that such a battle might not even happen if Oghren is too drunk.

5) Wynne vs. Anders - Anders/Justice have a more combat persona than Wynne/her Spirit.

6) Zevran vs. Isabela - the only fight I see them having is 'who is on top?' 

7) Shale vs. Sebastian* - O'rly?

1: Alistair for sure. Templars (ex or not) ALWAYS win plus he has Grey Warden abilities.
2: Varric because he's a man. Isn't it obvious that he would win?
3: Merril because she had blood magic whereas canon Morrigan does not.
4: Give Oghren some beer and Fenris will be abused like he was by his former master.
5: Anders gets raped everytime by the Templars on his personal quest. Wynne seems more stronger and has a spirit on her side as well.
6: Zevran because like I said with number 2, he's a man, there's just no competition.
7: Shale is overrated, The Warden can easily kill her and just like with number 2 and 6, Seb is a man and Shale is a woman. Seb would obviously win.

Now I better pray to God that no woman finds me because I'll be dead.

I picked Morrigan because Merrill might not relise she was a threat until it was too late.

1. No offence to either but Alistair will never be half the man Aveline is.
2. Varric, he's strong and handsome and so very smart.

4. Even match. Fenris would attempt to phase into Oghren, except Oghrens insides are so black and shrivelled not much would happen.
5. Vengeance just seems to be that much more dangerous a spirit so I'll say Anders
6. I'd say Zevran he is an Antivan Crow after all.
7. A walking statue v. choir boy with flying pointy sticks, doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out.

1. Aveline, no contest. The woman shaped battering ram would crush whiny chantry-boy Alistair to a bloody pulp before he can blink.

2. Leliana, she'd stealth her way to Varric and then kill him in melee combat, Bianca won't help Varric there.

3. Morrigan, she'd shapeshift into some fluffy animal and then bite Merrill's head of while Merrill wonders where Morrigan went and pets the animal.

4. Fenris, drunk Oghren would stumble with his pants down and fall onto the magical fist of death.

5. Wynne, she would just revive and stonefist Anders till he dies.

6. Isabela would end up on top - Zevran is a gentleman after all.

7. Shale, "What is that ? A shiny human-sized pigeon ? SQUISH !"

for the love of god people, stop trying to compare their in game stats and their talent trees. Look at their training/achievements/backstory instead

1. Aveline vs Alistair

Aveline is as tough as a coffin nail. She is dogged and determined and would not hesitate for a second. Alistair is not nearly as tough, personality wise. He would also most likely get distracted by the fact he has to fight a girl.

Outcome: Aveline in a close fight

2. Leiliana vs Varric

Leiliana was a spy from orlais who became a seeker of the chantry. She is like a secret agent. She knows out to out think and out maneuver her enemies. She may seem nice and sweet, but has a lot of experience in subterfuge and assassination. Varic however has a machine gun-like powerful crossbow called Bianca. He is street smart and savvy, rarely allowing anyone to get the drop on him. In a staged comabt situation, his dwarven toughness and his weapons superiority is hard to beat.

Outcome: Straight-up fight, Bianca cuts down Leiliana, Varric wins.

3. Morrigan vs Merrill

Morrigan is a powerful mage trained by the witch of the wilds. She is smart, mean, manipulative, and harsh to very high degree. Merrill is a kind hearted, sweet, naive little mage who does happen to use blood magic. However, when the chips are down and she is backed into a corner, Merrill will probably do what all blood mages in the story does, go from being a tough magic caster, to an abomination that really isn't that threatening,

Outcome: Morrigan wins

4. Oghren vs Fenris

Oghren is a tough, drunken, sterotypical dwarf who wields a huge battle axe. Fenris is a lyrium tattoo covered super-powered weapon who can go into a ghost mode and tear out your heart.

4. Outcome: Fenris tears out Oghrens heart before he can even finish his terrible innuendo about where he is going to stick his axe into the broody little elf

5. Wynne vs Anders

Outcome: Who cares

6. Isabela vs. Zevran

Isabela has a lot of experience dueling pirates and raiders, she is good with a dagger and can throw it accurately at a targets center mass. Zevran is so good that he can wage a solo war against the greatest assassin's guild on the planet and he can hit a target running at full stride behind him in the eye with a dagger.

Outcome: a good fight, Zevran takes it though

7. Shale vs Sebastian

Shale= Immortal all powerful golem, Sebastian = Squishly fleshling filled with liquid that disgusts said golem

Outcome: Shale suddenly imagines that Sebastian is a large walking bird, and then turns him into a large stain on the ground

Hawke and the Warden.
They get to sit around, eating snacks, while they watch their companions fight.

Aveline. She would have a pretty awesome fight with him as they are both similar fighters, but Aveline gets the edge due to her greater physical strength.

2) Leliana vs. Varric

Leliana. She's much more versatile than Varric. There's a reason why she's the Divine's Right Hand.

3) Morrigan vs. Merrill

Is this a joke? Merrill with extreme ease. What's Morrigan gonna do? Turn into a spider? Merrill makes Morrigan's blood boil in midst of transformation. "Falon'din may show you mercy, but I certainly won't!"

4) Oghren vs. Fenris

Very very close. In the end, I think Oghren takes it due to his berserker rage and better physical prowess.

5) Wynne vs. Anders

Anders. Close match again, but Anders would just let Vengeance take over and kill.

6) Zevran vs. Isabela

Draw. Both are skllled in their own rights.

7) Shale vs. Sebastian*

Shale. Golem > Arrows by a choir boy.

Double DQ for both Wynn and Anders since they are both possessed. Wynn is just more at peace with her fade partner.
Again, a double DQ for Zevran and Isabela due to the fight degenerating into a world record orgy.

Round two pits Aveline v Varric, Morrigan v Fenris, DQ v DQ, and Shale vs Dog.

I think the fight would go Varric's way until Aveline gets into close range. From there, its game over for Varric.
Morrigan would utterly pwn Fenris because she is a smart wizard and would never allow Fenris to get within fisting range.
DQ v DQ means the winner of the next bout has a bye.
Shale would beat the dog for obvious reasons, though I think the Dog would back down. I'm pretty sure the Dog is smarter than the average companion at times.

Aveline v Morrigan. It would be a tough fight but I would give it to Morrigan. She'd have spells to freeze Aveline to keep the distance between them and if all else fails, shapeshifting.

That brings up the championship fight. I have to give it to Shale, just because heat and ice and lightning might chip away at a golem, but I'm pretty sure Morrigan would run out of mana eventually. Then squish.

The true winner would be Garrus Vakarian, who graciously allowed them all to live as he watched through his scope.
