Well ive got ME2.

Maybe they could just give me a free copy of Dragon Effect.
I could probably think of some uses for it...

...this is...what the hell?

Serious. Huh? Well thats one way to boost sales.

It doesn't bother me, I like bundled game deals like that. So good on them. Although...wouldn't have expected it for a *cough* triple a 'for awesome' release four weeks in.

Except the account that posted the video looks legit.  It was made in 2009 and has other Dragon Age related things posted, but the 2009 part is the big one. Someone made an account 2 years ago with that name for a hoax?

Plus there's the whole Czech website and all.

Reeks of desperation.  Its not desperate to package your game with another game in order to boost sales...when the game has been out for a substantial amount of time.  DA2 hasn't even been out a month yet and its seen noticable price hits, and now this.

Dragon Age 2, great game, loved playing it and still do.

What I don't like is all the marketing bull****, all the items you need to sign up for **** to get (I'd rather just have the complete game of the bat thanks), you have to download DLC just to be able to respec, **** like what this thread is about, 7$ for a single companion character they tore out of the game, the facebook nonsense, etc.

If BioWare just focused on the game itself and not everything else I would have held them in much higher regard, and I suspect the game would have been even better than it is as well.

Can't help wondering if this *is* legit. It's a very odd move, so early in DA2's life - did it sell so poorly?

If it's real... can I have my digital copy of ME2 even though I pre-ordered DA2, please? I wouldn't scoff at a PC version. It would also make me feel better that DA2 felt so short. Then again, a massive DA2 DLC (read: expansion) for a very reasonable price would satisfy me more in that regard.

Personally I would advise not jumping on high horses until/unless this campaign and it's video ad gets posted on the official site. For all we know it might not be real, or it might not be the final ad. It causes less hurt to wait and see.

Well I can confirm, that this news was indeed released by Czech EA employees on Czech Dragon Age Facebook pages, with a link to Czech Bioware fansite (maintained by Czech EA). And it says that the link wont be available till 5.4.2011 19:00 GMT+2 (CEST)  (check what time is in Prague, if in doubt)

And why is the Ad in english? Well because Czech EA didnt make it, they got it from EA headquaters to promote it (maybe they messed up and released the info early?)

But still if its a hoax or joke the shame goes only on EA heads =)

ME2 is on budget release now except on the PS3 where prices vary quite a bit.
Digital costs nexts to nothing anyway.

Too bad that everyones already bought (and pirated) ME2, and have already played it to death. That's what they get for releasing half a game at retail pricePosted Image

The most obvious reason is ... look some people who bought DA2 dont have generic ME2 without all the fabulous DLC we made ... lets give them the base game so they can buy these! =)

Somehow I doubt that it's a fake/joke. Remember how EA Russia first leaked the info about ME3 trailer premiere on VGA? Same thing happens now, imho, only this time it's Czech EA :)

The only difference between Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2 is one has access to rather large guns that prove to be more popular than swords.

More like "one was not much of a rpg anyway" and the other one now try everything in its power to not be a rpg.

So you didn't like ME2 and you liked DA2, or at least more then ME2.

A compelling argument, but no.

I also think DA2 is the better sequel when compared to ME2.

ME2 had less bugs at release, though. And Lair of the Shadow Broker, eventually. There's always that.

Ea/bioware seems to be doing their very best to annoy their customers. Very best!

As others have said, to be a loyal fan you must apparently not buy any of Bioware's games.

Couldn't they have marketed it as a great deal (as it is) instead of slapping their real fans in the face?

Thanks Bioware!

If this is real. Man, I'll be pissed.

I payed 50 euro's for both games and bought nearly all DLC. I consider myself a loyal fan.
How about rewarding your real fans with some free DLC EA/Bioware? This is just a slap in our face.

but DA2 isnt 'sequel' at all
sequel means continuation of a something (story/char ...) from previous part
DA2 is just a game in same fantasy world as DA:O was and nothing more

Both DA2 and ME2 are streamlined successors, but Mass Effect 2 is a very high quality game, and a lot of fun. The combat, graphics, cinematics, level design etc. are all on a much higher level than DA2.
