When can you get companions to comment on your romance? As in you can show up at their place and talk to them about it, not them commenting in banter.  I know when you can get your mom to, and Isabella and Anders.

I heard sebastian, varric, and merril can but I don't when?

Do you mean them commenting on your relationship with another character?

I've only really ever had Isabela mention something about a relationship with Merrill. That was without ever flirting with her though. She also did the same thing about a relationship with Fenris. Supposedly Varric will comment on them. I think at least he will comment about a Anders one. But I've never been able to have said conversation in any of my play throughs with Varric. I avoid Anders like the plague but have never seen a conversation que with him about it.

I'm not sure about Merrill but Varric does in Act II after the blackpowder main quest (if you are in relationship with anyone at the point. if noy, he will talk about it later after any main quest in Act II). I think I have gotten the comment from Seb once. I guess he comments about Hawke's romance if you have finished his companion quests and have got either friendship or rivalry during Act II.

Gamlen comments on every LIs but it's like banter, not a proper cut-scene conversation. I think OP wants to know about cut-scene conversations.

Gamlen has a comment about all of them. I love his 2 women response if a Female Hawke is with Isabela.

Talking with Hawke:
- Aveline will comment on Hawke's relationship during "The Long Road" in Act 2 briefly.
- Anders will ask Hawke out about a relationship with Fenris during Dissent I believe
- Varric has a (currently bugged) quest where he will inquire about Hawke's relationship with any love interest. The bug is that it currently only works if Hawke romances Anders (and very rarely Fenris).
- Isabela will have a conversation at the Hanged Man in Act 2 about Hawke's love interest, as long as it isn't her. This isn't a quest, you just have to go talk to her.
- Anders has a conversation with the dog after moving in about the relationship.
- Leandra will mention the love interest in Act 2 when she mentions wanting to get remarried.
- Gamlen will banter about who Hawke's love interest is.
- Hawke's love interest may get kidnapped (provided the sibling is dead) during "Best Served Cold" in act 3. The kidnapped companion will make a comment after being rescued.

Party banter:
- Isabela and Sebastian have a discussion if Isabela is with Hawke. If she is not, the banter changes to her talking about her membership at the Blooming Rose.
- Anders has a banter with Merrill about Merrill being with Hawke. He'll mention Isabela if Hawke has slept with her too.
- Merrill has a banter with Aveline about how much she loves Hawke in Act 3. If Merrill isn't romanced, this changes to trying to understand why things are happening.
- Merrill has a banter with Isabela about how much Merrill loves Hawke. Isabela's comments change based on whether Hawke got involved with her too.
- Anders and Fenris have a number of banters with each other.
- Merrill has like 3 banters with Isabela if Hawke is with Isabela. Isabela's reactions change based on how far along her romance you are.
- Varric has a banter with Fenris and Anders about the romance asking for details for his stories.
- Varric has a banter with Isabela about a Hawke/Merrill romance
- Isabela and Fenris have a banter in Act 3 that only occurs if Hawke doesn't romance either of them.

Conclusion: Varric is everybody's buddy, Isabela and Merrill get along really well, Aveline and Sebastian don't pay attention to relationships, and Anders and Fenris catfight all the time

If you started out romancing Fenris and move on to Anders, Isabela will always remark on your relationship with Fenris and ignore your relationship with Anders, even if Anders is now living with you. Eventually, if you give her the boat, she will remember that you and Anders are an item, but her romance reaction banter gives Fenris precedence.

Merrill also does this. Asks if the dog can sleep somewhere else. I love the hawk response "Is it because he watches when we...".

He's only ever actually triggered for Anders for me, though.  I hope that's one of the things that gets fixed the in MAGIC PATCH.

It should be. There's a fairly extensive thread about it, including one of the developers participating. It normally triggers for Anders, very rarely triggers for Fenris, and doesn't for anyone else. If you use the debug console to start it, the ones for Merrill, Isabela and occasionally Fenris are broken (Varric starts talking about one and switches to somebody else).

Merril also has party banter about their relationship with Hawke with both Fenris and Anders if any of the guys is romanced.
