I really, really disagree about DA2's story being more of a set path than DAO. For me it's the same in both games.

Anders sucked in da2
since he was much more fun in Awakening
(But then again i never liked Justice anyways)
and what's Aveline doing in da2 (apart from being irritating)

You have no idea how I wish i could have changed this. Honestly I loved DA2, its the reason I bought Origins (I play things backward ><; )Yellow Words wrote...
Seems like OP didn't like DA2 very much going by the answers and questions.. Like someone else pointed out, it's very possible that the result will be skewed.

I never meant for the questions to be skewed but even so the stats show much more positive veiws then negative, though some aspects of Origins were prefered.

For peoples general reactions tied at 17% each were the options of the game being 'Good, but needing some improvements' and 'Okay but lacking in places' at 16% is the Disappointed option, and then tied at 12% each were the 'Great game' and 'very disappointed' options. The lowest is at 8% the 'why did I buy this option?'
65% Believe with great DLC's they could have their opinion changed. 17% believe that DLC's would just improve their view.
To me that says this game if given a letter grade would be a C+/B- for effort but not enough content.
57% preferred the ability to dynamically shape their world like Origins, 38% are fine either having the choices or having a set story line.
When it comes to a choice of voice, 40% like having a character with one, 35% are fine with it either way. Perhaps the question here should have been 'Dialog list or Dialog wheel?'
62% miss having the choice to pick a species, 35% are fine with having the choice or not.
67% want to have a world they can shape in the next game, only 4% want another hard-defined storyline.
38% prefer the changes made to the elves in DA2, 24% preferred them in Origins, 21% preferred the way they looked in Origins.
69% prefer the changes made to the Qunari, only 13% do not. The rest are fine with them either way.
And the list of places players want to go for the next game is still:
1.Tevinter
2. Orlias
3. Antiva
4. Anderfels
5. Ferelden
Once again, thank you all for voting and also once again I'm sorry the survey is so unintentionally biased.

This is in my opinion the only good reason to play a story based CRPG over a JRPG. That is assuming that both have pre-gen characters.

Hmm a bit too harsh, I'd say B.
I think they are two distinct questions...When it comes to a choice of voice, 40% like having a character with one, 35% are fine with it either way. Perhaps the question here should have been 'Dialog list or Dialog wheel?'
That's pretty curious (I also voted the first three, by the way)... who knows why? perhaps because they are the most mentioned in the two games, and (at least the first two) where "the power" of the world resides? And the list of places players want to go for the next game is still:
1.Tevinter
2. Orlias
3. Antiva
4. Anderfels
5. Ferelden

Well in very basic terms (not universal by any means).
1. CRPG - Create a character, shape the world through the actions you take.
2. JRPG - Pre-gen character with a specific story written around them. You play the "game" bits story plays out in cinematic form.
CRPG-Computer RPG (PC Origin)
JRPG -Japanese style RPG (From Japan).

If it is the case it means that a total of 45% (21% + 24%) preferred the way they looked in Origins (and more than half of theses players preferred also the way they sounded in Origins). [/quote]

Personally I prefer the look of Qunari in DA2 but I don’t like the fact that the look has been changed between the games. The transition would have been much better if there were a mix of horned (a la DA2) and non-horned (a la DAO) Qunari in DA2 (to justify that we did not meet any horned Qunari in DAO).
For information, as I have a mixed feeling about the change, I have voted for “No Opinion/Fine with both”.

This pool is a very good initiative; however I have a few commentaries:

That is true, I don't put up each individual statistic but perhaps I should start them. To answer your first question, that should have said '24% prefer them in their entirety in Origins'

Yes, It was of poor decision making on my part to not include more options concerning the Qunari when right above there were so many with the elves.
If I could go back and change things I very much would but unfortunately I cannot.

and yes i might be one of the few idiots whom actually enjoyed DA2
sure i have some issues like the maps thing (it's a shame) but imo they are not game breaking
and but liked some of the changes like the Qunari/elves and hated others , less conversations / getting to know the characters
but overall i believe it's a good game just not as good as could have been
but maybe some of it's issues can be "fixed" with DLC
on the other hand
i think they have done a way better job in keeping RPG in it than they have done with ME to ME2 switch and after playing the unsurprising Arrival DLC i start to fear for ME3

I hope Bioware is looking at this survey. Because if there's one thing I want back it's the races!

1) Place known for Dragons ( dragonslayer maybe )
2) In struggle with Orlais (Thus could make you more important to the country)
3) According to the codex an unique and beautifull place...
EDIT: (I'd really like Seheron or Tevinter imperium as well though)

"Do you think this game could be redeemed/improved through well made DLC's?"
I answered: can't be redeemed, not cause i don't think DA2 is a good game -- not great, it has enough flaws imho to be far away from great -- but no DLC would add to the game in such a way to fix the flaws. A giant ass patch might but Bioware would have to be insane for such a patch to happen. A DLC can be awesome on its own, same with an expansion pack -- but my judgment of the original game isn't influenced by what expansion packs or DLC's are added I judge them on their own merits.
As such a DLC wouldn't detract or add to my view on Dragon Age 2's campaign and I felt that option was closest to that mindset.
