I'm of the opinion that Shepard is sterile. That probably won't stop Liara though since she's about the only person that could have a baby with both a male and female Shepard.

Garrus doesn't want to help raise your weak human babies
But what if we pull an Angelina Jolie, and adopt a bunch of kids from different backgrounds? A few humans, some turians, a salarian, even a baby krogan. D'aaaaaaaw. I'd... be a bit hesitant about raising an Asari, though. They don't leave the house until they're like, 60.

Damnnit, I do want to see a Bioware game with a canonically female main character. I also want a pony, etc. But I can live in hope.
Also, my shep is femshep... and the idea of a military line of badass female captains tickles me to no end. "Oh great, another Shepard girl. Should we start prototyping you a new ship now?" Plus, this is the FUTURE, who says a married couple can't take the wife's last name? You can do that NOW, if you want. I'm sure Kaidan would agree to it, or that Thane/Garrus would let us compromise on kid names, if I have some kind of crazy science baby.
Crazy Science Baby is the name of my Daft Punk cover band.

While I not against Shepard having children or a family somewhere in the epilogue, I do not want to ever play a game where you're the son or daughter of a Hero, never!

Speaking of which...
Cerberus Daily News: 07/12/2010
“A-listers are following the queen of asari pop in the latest charity
trend: adopting turian children displaced by the Vallum Blast and
subsequent war on Taetrus. Between reinventing herself, music genres,
and everything else, Arah T'Hass adopted four children orphaned in the
blast. Megastar Delilah Jordan followed suit by adopting a pair of twin
boys, and recently, Columbia Rios and her husband took in a whole family
of refugees. Said T'Hass, "I hope it does catch on! There's so much
suffering on Taetrus right now. It felt like the only moral thing to do.
And having one dextro kitchen and one levo kitchen is totally not as
hard as people make it out to be." Asked for her opinion on the violence
of the war, T'Hass replied, "The turians have their way of dealing with
it. I have mine."”
I want one.

Ok lets say My male shepard makes love to Ashley in me1 and then Miranda in Me2....
wouldnt that lead to a love conflict in Me3..and i know that ashley will be in me3-because why would bioware leave a portrait of ashley on your desk in you cabin....
Also why would Bioware release Info in LOTSB that Miranda cannot conceve children??......
does this mean somthing.. if you stay with miranda will the shepard name not go on??also will bioware go the same route as Red Dead Redemption(you die and you get to play as you son Jack marston)
Maybe you will have a kid after the events in ME3
it wouldnt be the first time bioware has kids in there plot.. Remeber Dragon Age Orgins
State your Opinion
dude i hate the idea of shepard having a kid. the only reason why bioware even mentioned miranda cant conceive a child is to add more to her charachter.... and please stop trying to turn this into dragon age orgins because it will not work

Lol i dont think Bioware would make you change diapers in game unless if you needed to by-pass the circuits to open them but get to the other point...will there be you know a catfight like between miranda and ashley like in Me2..and me1..when you have to choose.........
Yes, I think there would need to be and I think BW will deliver...I don't think fists will be involved, but there will be a showdown with your Shep caught in the middle.....awkward for Shep..

Really? I don't remember spawning a kid. I remember spawning the soul of an old god. That aint a kid, thats some form of an abomination. A god possesed a fetus. Something tells me that aint going to be a kid when we see it.
Since ME doesnt inolve magic, or gods, or anything similar. I think it still stands we wont see kids. I would be pleasantly surprised if it happens though. Not that there is that many people who could possibly have a kid, and if they do they are either not the mother type, or their gestation period is different.

Actually, this scene makes me like Kaidan a bit less. He's kind of a jerk here, while Liara is all sweet about it.
Damnit, I know he's going to be a jerk to Garrus, I just KNOW it.
Edit: Screeeewwww iiiiit, caffeine and curiosity overcame laziness. Ash + Liara = catfight.

That's fine, if it results in a fist fight I'm all for it. Two, shirtless men fighting for Shepard'ds affection. Let's see Garrus' reach in action. I mean, the guy is an expert in hand-to-hand combat and we never get to see it. THIS IS THE PERFECT EXCUSE.
I mean, not that I want Kaidan to be a jerk.. actually, I don't think he would be. But I still want some dramas between the two LIs. For the lulz.

If you sleep with her at the end and decide not to do the ritual, she still ends up pregnant. So, there is a ending with a normal baby. Baldur's Gate 2 had a baby too.gorrillasnake wrote...
