1st playthrough: female rogue evenly nice/charming - did most of the quests, got several full friendships, but missed a few side quests and didn't even enter the sewers until Act III. Oops! Romanced Anders and regretted it.
2nd playthrough: male mage mostly stern dialogue - very cool Daniel Craig/James Bond type dialogue, but tough to get either full friendship or full rivalry. Different sibling brings different experiences early in the game, with great inter-party dialogue. Only had one rivalry and no full friends by the end of Act II. Tried to keep Isabella around but it didn't happen. Trying to romance Merrill, we'll see. ZERO Questioning Beliefs quests showed up during Act II, and I'm now on Act III. BUT - since people have complained that their mages' magic goes unnoticed by guards/templars, at the end of Act II KC Meredith DOES acknowledge you as an apostate and gives you "one chance" to save the city.

Mage Hawke has a special cloaking ability that prevents most templars from noticing his/her powers. Didn't you know?

I just trained my Hawke with Jedi Mind Trick.
Hawke - "These are not the Apostates you are looking for. Move along."
Templar - "These are not the Apostates we are looking for. Move along. Move Along."
