what companions do you like the most and should be present in the next game (if there is one) you can choose from 1 and 2 and who do you like the most hawke or the warden (again who you would like in the next game)? i personally like zevran, isabela, alistair, morrigan, sten, shale,oghren,leliana and varric. Wynne is also ok and i know i picked all the origins companions but they are so much better than the ones from 2 and the warden

I'm probably alone in Sigrun though. Always feels that way.

I'd rather play Hawke than the Warden. Honestly? I want as little do to with the darkspawn in the future as possible. The Qunari and politics are vastly more interesting than any wave of mindless orc-substitutes.

I'd like Bethany, Varric, Sigrun, and Avelline as my keepers from the series.

Aveline is great, because she let's me do damage instead of fumbling around with the shield and sword. And ofcourse, her personality is something that I really like. Love it when she gets mad at Hawke for being a douche or not obeying the law. Also. she is loyal and honest. I respect that.

So I guess I would love to see her in the future games. Also Varric, Sten (from DA:O) and Oghren! While Alistair and Morrigan were cool characters. I feel that their story has been told already. Maybe as a side characters?

Nathaniel (still a warden and if the wardens have an even larger role in DA3, then he'll be the one I'd like to see return)
Cassandra (no doubt her role will be expanded to companion status)
Cullen (now promoted to Knight-Commander status, I somehow doubt he'll be a companion, but if circumstances allow him to leave Kirkwall, then it'd be awesome to have him join us)
Sten (a potential large scale invasion of the qunari might see his return. I hope so)
Leliana (I can see her coming back due to her ties to Orlais and the ongoing investigation to both the Warden and Hawke's disappearances)

I'd prefer Hawke to the Warden.

If I sail into the game with Isabela still at my side, I'll be one happy Swashbuckler.

Varric would be my number two choice. Our bromance must continue.

Most of the Origin cameos were unsatisfying (If for no other reason than their faces) so not sure I'd want any of them back. Leliana at least didn't get her face too mangled, but her presence in the tale had nothing to do with how it went in my playthrough. But she's also the one most likely to be there.

So for #3 I think I'd like to see Shale back in dwarf form. Varric needs someone else to romance besides Bianca.

I prefer Hawke.

Companions...Anders, Varric, Merrill, Aveline, Isabella, Oghren, Wynne, Leliana.

Don't ever want to see Fenris and Sebastion again...annoying,

I think the ending pretty much made it clear that the mages are free and the templars have rebelled against the chantry. Don't think they'll rehash that for DA3 but we'll probably see an entirely different world...maybe a little more like what we've heard about in the tevinter imperium...not that the game would be based there but we would see a lot more of the same kind of stuff that goes on there in the entire game world.

Although I loved Hawke (more than the Warden...lets face it the Wardens life span cuts down on the possibility of continuing with him) I don't mind a new hero for DA3 with cameos for some of my favorites...would love to see where Anders and Wynne wound up for obvious reasons and Varric, Isabela, and Oghren are always fun.

Sten. It's still possible he'll show up when the Qunari invade. (At least he won't be meeting the Warden on the battlefield.) 

Sigurn on her way to the Deep Roads would be nice too.

Aveline Just because she's cool.

I'd love to see Sigrun again. I don't know in what fashion (companion/cameo convo/quest) but just to see her again would be great. As for full companions I'd like to have again, Varric, Merrill, Isabela, Avaline, Shale, Morrigan perhaps. It's surprising, I thought I'd want some more of the origins characters back as companions but I'm not bothered. It just seems like most of them have either run their course story-wise or don't need to be adventuring companions anymore. I'd rather have them turn up as major NPCs if they have to turn up at all.

Alistair (if not king), Varric, Zevran, Leliana, Isabella, Aveline, Sigrun and Nathaniel if they are alive. Yea a lot of rogues in that list but I really didn't care much for the other companions.
If this takes place too far past Origins (like after the decade has passed in DA2) then Wynne would be too old to be traipsing about the countryside, not to mention her time was short in Origins, but ya she would make a great healer.
Morrigan wouldn't show up, she has baby raising to do unless the life span of the OGB is much shorter to adulthood than humans (or time flows differently wherever she is raising him). But if you had a US/WC/Redeemer import she could since there is no OGB. Of course they have retconned other choices due to plot imperative, why not that one too? But if she isn't a single mom then yea Morrigan too.
Bethany/Carver would be good (if alive) and if you play someone other than Hawke or the Warden.
Personally I'd love all new companions, a new PC and a fresh setting to get more of the story of Thedas but a returning 'favorite' who I actually LIKE when he/she returns would be a nice change of pace too.

I'm more attached to my Hawke, but I'd love to see both Hawke and the Warden back in future games. I'm very attached to them both. (I just wish my poor Warden could have a voice...)

As for my favorite character: My top favorites are Alistair and Varric, followed by Fenris and Morrigan. I don't really require any of them back (although I'm sure both Alistair and Morrigan will return), but I'd like to see them again.

Really, though? I'm happy any time I see a character return, I really like the majority of the characters in the DA series.

You are not alone.  Sigrun would be atop my list as well.  I like that she is an axe/str rogue.  I  never spec my rogues like that, though I guess that is a moot point with the retooling of stats, since it is no longer viable.

In cameos I have no problem with the old companions but I want new companions for the PC in DA3. I strongly suspect that DA3 will feature a new PC created from scratch. Starting anew solves the problem of the old PC being too powerful. And it allows for a new set of companions. Without new companions, Isabella would be stuck as a minor character in DAO rather than being fully fleshed out in DA2.

Companions who should be back would be Morrigan and Flemeth as well as their stories are unresolved and appears to be connected. Hawke and the Warden will probably be back only as off stage characters. I would love cameos by Varric as he was so central in DA2. Isabela should be back. She has her ship and can appear anywhere in Thedas. Leliana should be back as she is one of the connecting characters between DAO and DA2 and seems she will be a connecting character in DA3.

As for the rest, while I would love cameos by Zevran, the Sten, Merrill, et. al. their roles in the sage seems to be done.

I felt this way too...until I saw what they did to Zevran and Teagan's faces, and had to endure Alistair's painfully forced 'Swooping is Bad' line. (Cassandra did a much better tribute to that line)
