Not really gloating. DA2 is crap, so we're hoping it doesn't do well so they don't do more crap like this. It's in the consumer's best interest. I've been trying to spread the word that DA2 is bad so no unfortunate person buys it thinking it's good.

The most hardened defenders against critics have all called it fake or red herring, I for one would love this to be a future thing that was accidently put up by mistake too early but will end up back up at a specific time. Just for the giggles of the reactions of those screaming fake.

Though in reality doesn't bother me one bit if true or not. ME2 for me was worse than ME1, I bought ME2 and sold it but kept ME1. DA2 is far, far worse than DAO to me and bought both again, selling DA2 soon but keeping DAO. No marketing gimmick will make me re-buy the two worst titles out of 4 just because they are bundled together.

But it has been funny to read some of the replies. People are so butthurt, because people dislike their precious Bioware product and it might be possible that the game is not selling well either.  On a scale from one to pretzel, how salty are you guys?

It's strange that no one has officially posted it as a hoax. It's not really the sort of rumour you want getting around if it's not true.

I don't think the idea is bad, but the timing is terrible. Kind of makes you wonder why would you ever pay full price for a game when you can have all these deals less than a month later.

Actually I think is the other side that's funnier. I think on nearly every game in the last year I played there were people gloating at every sale about how they were completely right about how terrible whichever title was and how this proves them completely right.

If the sale is true it doesn't really bother me. Doubly so if its just a Czech/Hungary thing. They get a pretty neutered version of ME2 to begin with, so it could be just as likely to help that franchise out as DA.

But then again you have to look back at Bioware's actions recently regarding Witch Hunt for example, they released the last of the DLC for it and within a month had sneaked out Ultimate Edition with as little press as possible at £30 (which I bought) as opposed to the original game + awakenings and all others costing £77 at the time I was considering a copy. I knew the UE was on the way since the time the leaked information about registering a future product of undisclosed name linking all DLC in some Australian (can't remember name) article. I then spend months telling people don't buy DAO because a GOTY was coming out. The backdoor approach of the UE made me think less of Bioware as far as being upfront and not just all about money, however it didn't make me hate them since I wasn't duped that time into spending £77 as opposed to £30, I was happy I got DAO+ all addons and expansion for 30 even though I do not like the shady tactics used at the time in keeping the UE hushed due to release of Witch Hunt.

That one gets me ever time. As a shooter though ME2 is very solid. classes make gameplay different enough as well rather than just pressing the same buttons for a different attack.

Actually, I liked ME2 better than ME1.Why? Because streamlining it into a shooter actually made the gameplay better.Sure the plot was pretty much nonexistant, and fighting a giant terminator at the end was pretty stupid.(LotSB fixed that) But ME plays better as a shooter, than an action-rpg.

But streamlining an installment of the Dragon Age franchise however...

ME 2 was miles better than ME 1, all the reviews agree as well, in fact I think its the highest rated game that Bioware has ever made going by Metacritic at least.

Good for you.. I should care, why? I don't like the game what are you going to do... Sue me? You like it as did others and I didn't so what is your point? I wasn't seeking approval just saying my preference. Read the highlighted parts.

Given that their RPGs are crap, that would seem to lead credence to the idea.

You can't even change your gender in Half-Life and there's no isometric camera in Portal. Don't even get me started on the endless enemy waves in Left4Dead.

Yeah, however,  the user BiowareCzech on Youtube who posted this video lists "bio-world.cz" as their domain.  It doesn't redirect to the eu.dragonage.com doman or any other Bioware domain, and a whois lookup shows no connection to Bioware or EA:

Oh, BTW, if this is legit, it apparently will work for anybody who owns DA2, and not just those who buy it now.  At least that's what the Google Translate version of the page says.
