In DAO I could make a variety of noticeable face shapes. In DA2 no matter what I do my Hawkes always have "pudgy face". It doesn't matter how gaunt I make the cheeks or where I put the cheekbones or the chin or how long I try to make the face, they all end up looking pretty much the same: pudgy. Tips? Tricks? Anything?

Also, does "mouth height" even work? I could not tell for the life of me if Hawke's mouth was moving

Yes, mouth height works.

And I agree that the difference betweenone end of a given slider and the other is often too subtle. I'm not sure how that might be solved, but I'm sure someone can make greater variation possible.

Which direction on the slider moves the mouth upward? Left or right?

This is one of the reasons I miss/want the toolset. The morphs we are given in the character creator are fine for making some fairly decent looking faces, but I miss being able to change the shape of the mouth, its depth, eye depth, cheek hollow, and such...

The toolset would toolset would give a lot more freedom to create more variety in faces (in .mor format anyway... exporting to .mop tends to be tricky).

Yes, DAO toolset had more options than DAO CC as well. I really want toolset now :crying: It's really hard to make some unique looking Hawke with current CC.

Also I want arrows to click on both sides of sliders just like DA:O.

Toolset is best option to create faces you like and change NPC faces to your liking.

I could never find the DA:O toolset's appearance-editing feature.

Open the Toolset and choose a new face morph. For editing in game faces precodure is a bit complicated. There were good written guides for that.

I usually used to make new faces for NPCs or adding new presets to character creator.

This is like standing in traffic, and then getting upset when you get hit by a bus.  Silly console owner.
