Does anyone else not have a favourite class but pretty much loves them all?

Sure, I have my days when I love the Vanguard the most, then the Infiltrator, then the Engineer...well I guess those three are my favourites in no particular order and I also like the Soldier and the Sentinel; the Adept is probably my least favourite class but I still like it a fair bit.

Right now, after modding the Incisor to make it useful I am loving my Assassin Infiltrator, so right now my favourite is the Infiltrator but  it could switch back to the Engineer or the Vanguard....

So I don't really have a favourite class; I kind of love them all, and prefer some over others.

Does anyone else feel this way?

I have 5 playthroughs with 5 different classes on the go now. Does that count? Lolz. I've even taken to writing notes for each class to remember where I am, what I'm doing next, who the romance is... a lot of the time it comes from saying "ooh ooh! I miss this power!" and starting up a class with that power. The games' longevity is amazing, one of the best investments I ever made. I'm beginning to think it even rivals The Orange Box for getting your money's worth out of a game.

Well I do have a definite favourite, the Vanguard. But beyond that I like all the other classes quite equally. Except maybe not the Soldier. Now I'm having loads of fun with a shotgun Engineer with Dominate. It's great when you can distract the baddies so much that I can basically walk up to them and unleash hell on them with my dear Scimitar. And I find myself always thinking about how I'm going to play on my next playthrough, what class and what build. My addiction to this game might be a bit unhealthy.

Yeah, at the time of playing a class it does feel great. But nah; overall, adept is my cup of tea! :)

I'm pretty much this way too. If I *had* to pick a favorite, it might some toss-up between Sentinel and Soldier. Locutus_of_Borg is all about the Easy-Peasy classes!

I don't like them all equally. In Mass Effect I almost always go Vanguard. In Mass Effect 2 I change to something else, generally, which is usually Sentinel or Adept. I have been known to stick to Vanguard though.

I don't think I'll ever be purely just a soldier. How boring that would be.

I have a hard time deciding whether I prefer biotics to tech abilities. Bah!
(I am a biotic GOD. I think things and they HAPPEN.)

Well, kinda. I don't love or hate any of them, but I like them to varying degrees, and have at least two playthroughs on every class. My top three are probably (in no particular order) Vanguard, Infiltrator, and Sentinel, and my bottom three (again, no order) are Adept, Engineer, and Soldier. So I favor half of them over the other half, slightly. But I do mostly agree with you. These people who play with only one class exclusively are not experiencing the whole game!

Can't say I love them all at all. in fact I find the Engineer a pointless class in ME2, it literally offers me nothing that I cannot already get from squadmates thus I don't see the point in using it. Equally I find Soldier just downright dull (though that is what I used when I first played the game).

For me it's Vanguard and Infiltrator all the way, largely because they alter the gameplay significantly more than other classes do for me.

I like them all, even the Soldier. And Sentinel. I have a love/hate relationship with the Sentinel class.

I tend to favour vanguards like so many other people, but I've recently started to realize that the increased excitement is somewhat of an illusion. I think most people just have a hard time overcoming the instinctive "stay in cover, kill enemies with little to no personal risk" playstyle (just look at how many people start out as an infiltrator, or as the "sniper"/stealth class in any other game) normally. Vanguard, however, encourages a more exposed, high-risk/high-reward playstyle, which is relatively unique, but ultimately no more "risky" than any of the other safety net skills like cloak/AR/drone/tech armor. Time slowdown to let you line up your shots, +100% shields, and ability to move around the battlefield quickly while immune to damage, and all of this available every <6 seconds is more than enough to keep you alive through everything. It's as close as it comes to having an "Easy Button". The other notable difference is that you don't have to cover as much ground on foot, being able to Charge across large distances, which takes a lot of the "slack" out of combat. But once you get a few dozen notches in your Strength Boost Pads, the novelty of Charge has jaded you, and every other class seems relatively slow-paced and boring.

For those who think vanguards are the ultimate in adrenaline-pumping excitement, check out one of the many videos linked to from these forums (or just search on youtube, since you probably already have it open), showing people who are highly proficient at classes other than vanguard. No class needs to be (and generally shouldn't be) stuck behind cover for the duration of every fight, unless you're just afraid of scuffing your shiny armor and having to reload. Intelligent, tactical use of complementary skills (your own and your squads') let other classes be just as fast-paced and exciting as vanguards, just with a few more seconds spent running to get there. Plus you won't accidentally skip over all the geth primes and half the other fights by Charging past their triggers. So for all the vanguard-only players out there, try the other classes, and play them as aggressively as your vanguards, you might just be surprised.

If it wasn't obvious, I was almost exclusively a vanguard player for about a year, recently overcame my vanguard addiction, and have been giving the other classes a fair chance again (rather than just the odd non-vanguard playthrough for variety once every couple months). I've been enjoying them immensely since figuring out why my class of choice seemed so much more exciting and enjoyable, so now every class is pretty much even in my books.

I like all of them. I do tend to favour Adepts, Sentinels and Engineers. But have enjoyed playing all of them.

I quite enjoy all classes, but Vanguard is very easily the best class for me.

I've only played through Mass Effect 1&2 twice...once as an Infiltrator and once as a Vanguard and I really enjoyed playing as those.
However...after looking into all the classes extensively before playing, I can honestly say that I like them all. They all have the proper number of Stengths and weaknesses that make for a good RPG.

I have at least 2 save games with every class except for soldier. Like them all equally... just get a bit bored with the soldier I guess (tried using several different bonus powers to "spice" the gameplay a bit. Didn't work for me though).

Kronner likes Vanguards? Why doesn't that surprise me. ^_^

I like to play all classes too - they're all a lot of fun - but (surprise-surprise) Adept is my favorite.

Playing any class will get a little boring after a while -_-, but I can play Adept at least twice as long before it gets old.

I like all classes and depending on my mood and what class I'm playing currently.

Vanguard has a style of combat that I've never experienced before ME2 and it's (still) addictive, and currently where my allegiance lies =P

Since I only recently was able to get another copy of ME2 back after being robbed, I have to say that Engineer and Sentinel are my two favorites from my limited play time. Especially when paired with a shotgun. The only other class I've played was Infiltrator and though it was fun, I just keep going back to my Sentinel or Engi. Haven't tried Adept or Vanguard and I doubt I'll be trying a Soldier.

I don't hate any particular class, although the Soldier was my least favorite until I picked up the Claymore. The Sentinel gets to be fun when you play it like a Vanguard. The Engineer and Adept classes taught me how to use powers like a live chess match, and the Infiltrator / Vanguard classes taught me general combat tactics like flanking, defending, and looking at the battlefield stragetically.

I think all classes are interesting and I like playing them all but I tend to significantly favor Vanguards and Infiltrators for several reasons like clearing levels extremely fast (Vanguard) or sniping (Infiltrator). As I'm more of a shooter player I tend to favor combat classes over Adepts and Engineers. They are both fun but often I feel like it just takes too long to get through a battle because of the global cooldown and I also feel like you need these two classes at least at Level 20 or more and with 3 biotic/tech upgrades + additional weapons training before you can start thinking about really playing the game instead of mostly hiding behind cover and waiting until you can use another power. A Vanguard on the other hand is a killing machine as soon as you have maxed Charge (so basically right at the beginning if you import a character) and the Eviscerator is fine until you can pick up the Claymore. Cooldown reductions matter but not as much as for the pure casters. Still... I like all classes and can have fun with them all.
