I know Petrice is a 20/10 on the Evil scale for using her position to start a war with Qunari with Seamus's death and all. Even though the Qunari war happens anyway and probably didnt need Seamus's death. If only Viscount Dumar died then Seamus would probably lead Kirkwall and not have Meredith and her 100/10 crazy self lead Kirkwall.

But for my Evil playthrough I know that she can be sided with and not become killed Lord of the Rings Boromir style.

But how?

Do you have to be evil throughout the campaign up to this point to have some evil star option to side with her?

Do you have to not side with the Qunari at all? Such as not telling him about Petrice, his dead Qunari?

Because Petrice says how you always take the Qunaris side.

Do you have to find her before she kills Seamus and help her arrange the whole deal so Qunari are implicated and Grand Cleric Elthina believes her?

Any help with this would be awesome because I cant find any videos of it or anything.

You can't side with her, I think.

You can't, you are not allowed that choice.

Thats the question I have if you let Ser Varnell kill Qunari he attacks you and gets killed but can you spare and agree with him? That way you show your allegiance against Qunari

I don't think you can side with her. Even as a "evil" character, you just are angry at her, because she tried to get you killed.

Wrong.

You can, as angry hawke, tell him to kill the qunari, then use the lower left dialogue option.

Is the lower left option a Star option Lithuasil? And how do you get it? Do you just have to be evil? Or do you have to make the right dialogue choices leading up to this with Arishok and Petrice?

I sided totally with her on my last play through and was disappointed that she didn't show up in end game as far as I can tell. She seemed to indicate in the last convo I had with here that there would be more interaction but nothing came of it.

The lower left has crossed swords I think, but I'm not sure. But you only need to be angry/violent hawke, and use the "go kill them" dialogue option with varnell.

Just can't imagine if you had the choice:

Hawke: Maker, Petrice! You killed Seamus!
Petrice: He converted to the Qun and came to the maker to repent!
Hawke: Oh. Good riddance then. I hated Qunaris anyways.
Petrice: No! I hate them more than you do. Expandable minions, if you want salvation, kill that heretic!
Hawke: *sigh*

edit: In all seriousness though. if you tell Varnell to kill the Qunaris, he throws a line that oddly resembles what I said above.

You can allow him to kill the Qunari but afterwards he still attacks you, and the rest of the game runs on just as if you had attempted to save them. You are never actually able to join Petrice and her anti-Qunari crusade that I'm aware of (and you should be able to imo, it would have been interesting to have allowed you to play out Act 2's finale differently in some playthroughs)

Still wrong. You CAN side with Varnell.

Really, I tried and clicked the angry Hawke response, let him kill them, and then Petrice had them attack Hawke anyhow (it could have been a bug then I guess)

And if you SIDE with Varnell does it still mean his death? Like if you dont kill him do 10-20 Qunari storm the place and you kill them instead? lol

Unless you have the star option when playing evil, the hammer option in the conversation still leads you to a combat against the templar. I'm 100% sure about it, because I picked both option through my 2 playthroughs and I still had to fight them.

If you're diplomatic or sarcastic hawke, the upper option (go kill them) is along the lines of "go kill them, I don't care".
If you're angry hawke, that option initiates a dreamy eyed "smite those heathens in the name of all that is righteous" speech, giving varnell pause for thought, and opening a new dialogue, where you can either talk to him, or initiate a quick murder knife to qunari gut action (which convinces varnell you're on his team)

Maybe it depends on options taken in "Sheparding Wolves" too?

Is that the result of that personality following thing (where it uses the majority of tones clicked to frame Hawke's responses)?  Gah, I hate that stuff, more RP taken away from me and run by the game instead :(

Yea Lithuasil what options did you choose with Arishok and Petrice leading up to this?

I know Hawke mentions to Arishok when searching for Seamus that Petrice is involved. And because he hears Hawke say that he sends the Qunari bowman to shank her. But do you tell the Arishok about her if you side with Petrice or are on bad terms with Arishok and his Qunari?

I would assume so, because I believe you can develop an alliance with Petrice through Shepherding wolves

It's that personality thing, yes. But doesn't it kind of ADD to the rp, when only a hawke actually violent and crazy has the option to side with the crazy fanatics, as opposed to offering anyone the choice, no matter how out of character it'd be?

You cant develop an alliance to Petrice in Shepharding Wolves Miashi because she wanted Hawke to be killed.

You can only say to her: "We could have been allies" or "I should kill you right now"

It doesn't care about that. What's important is, at the beginning of each act, depending on what the majority of your dialogue choices are (green/purple/red) it determines hawkes personality for the act.
And only the hawke that's red (i.e violent and crazy) gets this option.
