My DA2 Game crashes always while Loading a new area or often while a Video.
I asked on other Forums but never got an useful answer.

Can you post your hardware specs, OS information, and what version of the game you have (retail or digital download/Steam, what patch version)?

Same problem here. I searched this forum on this problem, but no Staff member seems to be bothered to reply. As if they are ashamed of this dreadful piece of cr*p of a game they made...

I found some kind of a solution. When I disabled DX11 and set it to DX9, I was able to load the game again. Not quite sure why there is no DX10 option though...

my solution was doing nothing XD game crashed...next day the problem disappeared

This is user to user tech support as you can read in the forum description. When a game is new some devs come online to read and comment but after a while it's up to the fans to offer assistance. If you want official support, visit support.ea.com .

I've experienced this problem as well. Sometimes, when a video is supposed to load, something happens that it locks up for a few seconds and crashes. It's not very consistent. I know I experienced it more later on in the game. My specs are as follows:

AMD Athlon X2 64 2.2ghz dual core with 3.5gb of memory. Nvidia Geforce 9800gtx with 512mb memory. Game settings are all at max dx9 levels with 40+ fps, so no chopping or sluggishness. It's not as bad as DAO after patch 1.03, but it's still frequent enough to be a pain.

I have same issue with loading...after playing for a bit it'll just crash when loading an area...do you have a AMD 5770 card by any chance?
