In the EA Downloader, next to your "name" in the top right corner is a button. Click that and a drop down comes down and select "Redeem Game Code". After that, I might say you may need to contact EA support chat. Phone and e-mail support is a joke.

Not to sound greedy or anything, but shouldn't those that have already purchased both games get something as well, such as free DLC or items? I can't help but see that this is solely to continue to boost sells rather than saying "Thank you". Not all of us want to play the same game just on another port.

I enjoy BioWare and am a big fan of the games, but this deal doesn't seem of much use to me personally as a gamer. I understand that you can't appeal to every fan out there and  those who don't have Mass Effect 2 will certainly be happy, but do the rest of us just fall by the wayside?

Does bioware have a terminal illness? I think this is more about Bioware trying to get people to buy Arrival.

i already own it for 360 with all the addons, but will be nice to see it with max settings got pc. also does any1 know if there are any mods for this game like with dragon age. would be sweet to see if the community made anything good

Oh well, for ages I've been arguing if myself if I should buy Mass Effect 2 or not, I knew that if I would start liking the series as much as I like Dragon Age, which would mean plenty of dollars spent on DLCs and future sequels.


Now you gave me the game for free...

Ok, so this is a great promo since I was thinking about picking up Mass Effect 2 off of steam soon anyway.

But, I can't get the site to accept my promo-code (from the Dragon Age 2 Box). I've activated it online and downloaded it several weeks ago (so over the 72 hour period) and the only step I'm not taking on their list is that I don't have my game running and online when I enter the code. The reason being that I have a PS3 and the game instantly freezes (sound, frozen picture) if I have the internet cable plugged into the PS3 when running Dragon Age 2.

Anyone have a solution for this? Or do I just have to wait another 72 hours (just tried RE-activating my Black Emporium code) and have it fail then? Already I'm irritated enough that I just want to buy the dang thing and not deal with this crap, but that'd just be throwing bad money away after good.

As per the FAQ, no. The free version of ME2 is for the PC only. Owners of the consoles can download the PC version but they can't get the console version for free.

Plus the PS3 version came with all the DLC's except the last one that just came out last week that 360 and PC users have to pay for.

i had to get EA customer support to activate it for me, its downloading now. but hey, atleast now its working

I certainly don't want to knock this since Bioware is making a very generous offer for those who don't have ME2.  But like so many on here, I bought ME2 already, so the offer doesn't do me any good.  Credit for DLC though would be an acceptable substitute.

But don't think I don't appreciate the offer, Bioware.

I'm having the same problem, however I claimed my code over Xbox LIVE and I actually have the game running at this moment.

I contacted customer support on their chat feature. Got connected in 20 minutes and 10 minutes later its downloading happily. I'm pretty happy they got it going that quick! Hopefully it goes as smooth for everyone else.
