Okay how does this work?

I have the Signature Edition DA2 for PC.

I followed the instructions exactly.

Had to install EA Download Manager.  Did NOT like that. BTW that is not part of the instructions EA should make it more clear that they will be using your PC as their server.

EADM prompts for product code.
I enter code.
It accepts code.

EADM THEN ASKS FOR ANOTHER CODE! LOL!

Very confusing. I enter the same code and it says "code already used."

Nothing other than EADM was downloaded.

I'm sure it's something simple that was not in the instructions...going to restart and try again.

I ignored the "Code already used" bit. I closed EADM, relaunched it and was given the option to "download and install" ME2. Try that. :)

Is it worth it with people that already have the game and all the DlC?

Come on bioware you have to know the vast majority of us with dragon age 2 bought ME2 quite a while ago. I would have preferred SWTOR beta (whenever that happens).

Already have ME2 CE for Xbox 360. But I got this anyone. Its sad that I would have to redownload and buy all DLC for PC version.

Yeah, I already have Mass Effect 2 on PC, can I gift the free code to a friend?

It was posted earlier (and probably lost in the depths of the thread now) that its okay to pass the code on if you dont want it(obviously it'll only work once!)  You just need to fill out the form far enough to get the ME2 code, then pass that to your friend to put into their EADM.

EDIT: http://social.biowar...6947870#6947870 for a link to the official response.

In the EA Downloader, next to your "name" in the top right corner is a button. Click that and a drop down comes down and select "Redeem Game Code". After that, I might say you may need to contact EA support chat. Phone and e-mail support is a joke.

Aha, there is the info I needed.  Redeeming via checkout was not working for me.  I didn't see any other place in the downloaded to redeem a code.  DL is going now :)

Is it sad that I feel there was more time spent on Mass Effect 2 then there was DA2? ;_;

I see the level of interaction, dialog, I mean you can even dance with random people and there's lots of conversation. Sniffles.

Obviously we all love Bioware, are huge fans and are loyal customers.... Perhaps you are noticing the MAIN QUESTION everyone is asking Bioware: What about your REALLY loyal fans who have already bought BOTH of these games???

This is one of my biggest pet peeves - companies come out with a fantastic sounding offer which is supposed to benefit their most active users/customers but in effect - alienates them (making them feel left out) rewarding those who are not as loyal (no offense to anyone who doesn't have ME2 yet) when others deserve it more!!! Microsoft did this with their xbox rewards program - I wasn't eligible for hundreds of reward points because the actions needed to earn those points I had already done years before as a huge xbox fan. Sometimes it doesn't pay to support the companies you love!

I was in a similar situation and was able to give the code to a friend and it worked for them.

What gives? Us PS3 users don't get a free copy?

I own the 360 version but my 360 is dead. This would have been nice if it applied to console users.

CONSOLE USERS CAN GET THE FREE PC VERSION.

I think that's already been covered. You get the free PC version of Mass Effect 2 no matter what platform you got the other games on.

That's awesome. IF you have a PC. I don't.

I have an asian version  (region 3) of DA2 sig. ed. for ps3 and my online pass code doesn't work when i try to redeem this.. Same thing happened when i tried to redeem the signature ed. dlc's here using the same code. There was however an instruction to redeem it in any asian psn and the code worked fine there and i got all dlc's. If the code isn't recognized in this site and only in asian PSN then does it mean i have no chance of getting this free ME2 download? is there a way to fix this?

Thank you, Bioware. It is very nice of you and I appreciate it... I really do. I have ME2 xbox version and looking forward to try PC version too... *dreamy: now I can play it with unlimited ammo!*

Edit: can't belive how much rants and complains there are about getting free things. People are too gready these days and can't apreciate free things. You people should be ashamed of yourselfs.
