Too bad it dangles the free game in front of Mac users like me with the PC/Mac symbol at the bottom of the email then yanks it away when the Download Manager and game is only available for Windows.

Although I love RPGs, I'm not a big Sci-Fi or shooter fan, so ME2 was never on my list of games to buy. However, for free I'll try (almost) anything, and I am impressed! I didn't think I would enjoy ME2 this much! I haven't finished yet, but I am now considering a pre-order of ME3.

I've been a PC gamer and game buyer from retail and digital stores for a long time and this is the first time I've been rewarded for buying a game, (as opposed to being punished with overly restrictive DRM or waiting for PC releases of major titles after their console release or getting no release of the game at all). I am a diehard fan who has only played the 360 version and just built my dream machine for Old Republic and this is for me the most awesome thing ever.  I got the ring of wispers for my letter and bought another for my girlfriend that I didn't get.  This is an awesome promotion!!!

 As someone who owns the 360 version of ME2 (largely because my PC at the time couldn't run it well enough), I have to say thanks! I do have ME1 on PC as well as 360, from a sale on Steam a while ago; but I was hesitant to purchase ME2 as I couldn't really justify the extra expense of the base game plus all the dlc I like. That's obviously no longer a concern. Plus now I get to use mods!

This is a very unexpected and much appreciated gesture. Thanks to all involved in making this happen x

Well thanks, but......I already own ME2 and I don't own a gaming PC, still at least this gift to bioware's 'loyal' fans isn't North America only.

However I cant get it to load, i downloaded overnight but it did not install properly. I get an error message about awc.dll not loading. if anyone has any ideas what to do I would be grateful.

If you've already input the code once (successfully), that should be it, you can close the box and you should be able to click 'start download' on ME2. It's asking if you have other codes that you can redeem. If you haven't input the code successfully at all, then sorry. Different problem to the confusion I was experiencing! x

First question: I've activated everything, and I just received my ME2 download code...except I'm not in a position to DL the game yet. I plan to do so, only after April 30th. Will the Mass Effect PC version download code still function then?

Second question: I have ME2, for XBOX, and I have all the DLC except Arrival, on the same EA account that also has Dragon Age 2. So, can I just use the Cerberus Network to just download that material, or do I have to buy everything again?

I got the code and immediately registered it to my account (registered game promotions). Now I finally have a use for that ME2 Blood Dragon Armor code that had been lurking on my registered game promotions list
