Thanks to gamers like you, Dragon Age II is off to a great start – breaking the 1 million mark in less than two weeks and faster than Dragon Age: Origins. We appreciate your support. As a special thank you for helping with the game’s early success, BioWare would like to present you with a download code for 2010’s Game of the Year, Mass Effect 2 on PC.

AWESOME...

Only ME is now missing in my collection :wizard:

will i be able to get all the dlc i have for the xbox360, or do you have to buy it again.

Purchased DLC is platform specific, so yes, you will have to buy it again.

I contacted EA support and they gave me ALL the DLC I bought for 360 on PC, except Alt. Appearence Pack 2. They said the Alt. Appearence Pack 2 was unavalible. For the "inconvienence" they gave me Pinnacle Station AND $40 of EA Store credit.

Pinnacle Station was Mass Effect 1 DLC not ME2. And I would consider that a slap in the face because that DLC sucked. And it cost more than Bringing Down the Sky DLC which was better.

True BDTS was better, but thats not the point. Remember: Technically you have to repurchase DLC to play it on another console. So from this FREE offer for ME2 (which is $20 now), I got almost all the ME2 DLC (which is $40), $40 EA Store Credit, AND Pinnacle Station (which costs more than AAP2's 160 points). So I managed to get $105 worth of content for FREE, this hardly feels like a "slap in the face".

I was being a smartie when I said that more about how bad Pinnacle Station was. lol. I got BDTS free (Platinum Edition includes that) and paid for Pinnacle Station. I felt that should have been the other way around. lol

Ugh, 15 pages in - tired of reading. I was able to redeem the code with no issue, but I can't actually download the game. I click download now, agree agree agree, start download. It says "Preparing" .... then reverts to download now. How the heckfire do I actually get the download to start!?

Thank you Bioware! I never thought to try ME2 because it's a shooting game, but it might not be so bad...

Yes. I got that too. But the guy still got me the Firepower pack and said he's going out on a limb for me because normally it would be a no go. I tried to get them all I had on the 360 but he at least gave the Firepower one. If I can get used to the controls (hate using mouse button to fire), I might buy the rest again. I just need to feel better about the controls. But with what they gave free to me, I'm now not so against paying for the rest. I might still buy Kasumi to get her. I like having her and Jack helping take out the final boss in the game.

Yes. Bioware even said it on their twitter page yesterday it's fine to gift it. And a few popped up on eBay too.

I think the guy lied to you... Firepower pack is included for everybody. I got it and even received an official e-mail today saying:

* Includes The Firepower Pack Exclusively From EA Store

I got 3 e-mails from Bioware/EA today and none mentioned that unless purchasing DA2 now.

yep you're right, sorry. You need to buy DA2 now to get it free in ME2. I double checked my stuff and I have the Firewalker pack, not Firepower pack hehe. Sorry!

Yeah, that's a common mistake. I did that too earlier in the thread even. lol.

My guy still has a good rating survey coming since he didn't lie. ;)

But am I the only one having an issue with mouse button to fire hate going? That's all that's stopping me from actually willing to pay for the other DLC's PC edition.

Okay. This discussion about the Firepower pack I have an issue with. I got it already because my rep liked me. lol

But I am going to now be the champion for all my fellow players to get it too.

Bioware, if this is supposed to be rewarding *LOYAL* customers, shouldn't you give them the same deal as some johnny-come-lately buying DA2 NOW?

Give everyone the Firepower Pack!

You're welcome. Just because we bought it though doesn't mean we're happy with it. (Just thought you should know.)

I already own ME2 but went for the offer in the hopes that I'd be able to play it without a disc. However, when I try to launch it from EA Download Manager, I get the message "Failed to authenticate the disc. Please insert the correct disc and try again". How do I play it without the disc?

So...anyone help me out with this...I have a crappy PC...I downloaded ME2 anyway, but I can only play games that are from 2004 and earlier, but when I'm able to buy a new PC, will I be able to transfer ME2 and my other games onto the new one easily, or will it be a problem? Or should I just upgrade my PC and not worry about buying a new one?

You might have to uninstall it then do the EADM to download and install the non-disk version. /shrug

When you get the new PC, install the EADM and it should reinstall the game when you log into the EADM.

The Firepower Pack? Yep.
My items for PC version:

Firepower Pack                              Mass Effect 2     PC/Mac
Recon Hood (Dr. Pepper)                 Mass Effect 2     PC/Mac
Umbra Visor (Dr. Pepper)                 Mass Effect 2     PC/Mac
Sentry Interface (Dr. Pepper)                 Mass Effect 2     PC/Mac
Blood Dragon Armor                     Mass Effect 2     PC/Mac
Zaeed - The Price of Revenge (Cerberus Network)     Mass Effect 2     PC/Mac
Cerberus Weapon and Armor (Cerberus Network)         Mass Effect 2     PC/Mac
Normandy Crash Site (Cerberus Network)             Mass Effect 2     PC/Mac
Cerberus Arc Projector (Cerberus Network)         Mass Effect 2     PC/Mac
Firewalker Pack (Cerberus Network)            Mass Effect 2     PC/Mac

But I am trying to get Bioware to pony up for everyone to get the Firepower too. Now that I have it, my telling Bioware to put it out there for everyone doesn't seem so much just my "complaining" since I won't gain a thing. lol
