So I followed all the instructions and got my ME2 code. I opened the EA Download Manager and went to game code redemption. When I entered my code the enter code page refreshed. The My Games page, after multiple refreshes, still does not have ME2 in it, and when I re-enter my code it says "This code has already been used"

Anything I am missing?

I'm having some problems as well. Trying to get my Online Pass to activate.

I keep getting communication errors.

Same here bro. :bandit:

Yeah, I'm curious about that, too. I have both Mass Effect games, both Dragon Age games (+ Awakening,) all the DLC that has ever been offered for all of them, and so I'm wondering if there is some way for me to still participate in the freebies.

Like a few other people, I've already got a copy of ME2, but I'd love to give this to a friend who doesn't really have the money to spend on games. There isn't anything in the FAQ about it, but I'd also like to know if we can gift the special version.

Edit: Just adding in, I think the offer's awesome as-is. XD

I don't think the idea is to give a free copy of the game to people who haven't paid out for Dragon Age 2. They're probably just trying to boost DA2 sales with this, so I don't see them allowing us to pass on the code to someone else. >.>

I think you can just give the code to a friend so they can download it. I'm not 100% sure though.

Hmm no Cerberus network. If you want the Cerberus network, it would probably work out the same (if not slightly cheaper) if you got Mass Effect 2 PC new (for about £10) with the Cerberus network code.

But if you're fine without this content then this is a cool offer.

A very generous offer but I think the majority of people here own both games anyway. Since ME2 is much, much better than DA2, it is a great incentive for people to buy DA2 and get a superior game for nothing.

If we already own ME2 are we able to give the code to a friend for them to download, or is it tied in to our EA account?

I'd like to know this as well!

Damn...I don't have a computer that can run ME2. I own all my games on PS3. I wonder if someone out there would trade my code for their PS3 version. is there any difference between the PC version and PS3 version in regards to content?

Despite probably not having a PC capable of running Mass Effect 2 very well, this is a really generous offer. Thank you.

I'm DLing it now just to see if I can run it. If not, I'll end up picking it up for XBox anyway. I really liked the first game.

Yes. The PS3 version comes with a lot of DLC. The 'Sequel Celebration' PC version is completely vanilla, it doesn't have the Cerberus network.

ME2 is Unreal Engine 3 so it shouldn't need a very high-spec computer to run it on low-med settings. What kind of rig do you have?

very nice! I've only ever played Mass Effect (1 & 2) on the 360, this is a very sweet promo indeed.

Thanks for the ME2, Bioware. Since I bought ME2 when it came out, though, is there any way to donate this copy? Maybe to needy gamers in Japan?

Smart idea on Bioware's part. Giving away ME2 will do a heck of a lot to boost sales of the online content and then make more people hungry for ME3.

Personally, I'd prefer some Bioware points so I could get the latest downloadable content since I already own ME2.

Personally, I think a more generous offer would have been to give the first DA2 DLC away for free. That way everyone who bought the game would gain from it equally. >.>

I have a question. Will I need to download ME2 before the offer ends, or may I simply perform all of the steps listed here - registering my game, inputting purchase codes and so on -  and then download the game at my leisure during May?
