so do I get the firepower pack?

Not yet but we need to keep the campaign alive for everyone to get Firepower. How it's set up now, only people who buy DA2 in the month of April get it. Sort of backwards in a program stressing LOYALTY, isn't it?

well, I received it after going to the chat room with EA support staffs. Guess that is one good thing about EA is that they respond fast and have always met my demands...

It seems like it matters which rep you get now. Some just won't do it for people. But we need to keep the campaign alive because people shouldn't have to rely on which rep they get. This should be automatic.

I tried to talk to them, but i got nothing lol.

I think the first thing that you must satisfy is that you brought the game from EA store. Only those who brought from EA store can get the firepower pack. The rest would just have gotten ME2 and Cerberus.

Then I told the guy I am considered more loyal since I pre-ordered the game long ago and I SHOULD be given the firepower pack. He never asked/explained and proceed to give me a code for me to claim. It was very nice of him.

Thank you Bioware. I have never played ME, neither 1 nor 2, now with this download you've kinda forced my hand to buy ME. Sneaky devils!

Question, I've redeemed my pass, but I'm pretty sure my current computer can't run ME2. I AM however going to get a new computer but that doesn't happen until around September. Will I still be able to download ME2 for free once I get this computer? I have the code and everything and I'd rather it not go to waste.

Yup, as long as you've redeemed, and for safety's sake also best to put the code into EADM on your current machine so you've tied that copy to your EA ID.

Theoretically you could even DL it now, and copy the files from the EADM folder over to the new computer to reinstall on there.  Theres no installation limit, its all tied to your EA account (just like a game on Steam is tied to your steam ID), so theres no harm trying it out on your current PC now just to see if it'll run on low settings.

This one broke "news" part in launcher. Well, for russian gamers. "Line 47, semi colon expected, reinstall the game if you are not a developer". Nothing serious though, just & instead of & in link within the news.xml. The game still can be played (no news in launcher) but this message gave me chills when I got it first time. =) Please fix.

Curious; will this work like the other games in my digital vault? That is, can I download/install them on more than one PC? Because I have a desktop, but am moving to Greenland in a week or two, and will probably want to put it on my laptop too.

Obviously, for the cost, I don't /expect/ such, but was curious to know before I made a decision to dl it to my desktop.

Yes, once you've added the game to your EADM account, you can install and play it anywhere you install EADM.  Note that there's no "cloud sync" for game saves, however.

That's quite alright. I totally have three different installs with three different collections of saves for DA:2 and have Origins on both console and PC, so saves wasn't a concern, just the repeat downloadability. Thanks for your quick response!

well, getting the game for free is cool, makes bioware fans more of a fan now...

also its a win win situation for bioware, it may increase mass effect 2 dlc sales..

I was hesitating to click on anything within that e-mail as so much is fake as well, but I started downloading it yesterday. Would be nice to see ME for a change as I never played it :)
So thanks!

(and no, I didn't check BSN to confirm it was a real e-mail :innocent:)

Agreed - they give the game away to customers most of which apparently weren't going to buy ME2 anyway, in the hope that they might still like it and then buy DLC for it... that's a pretty smart promotional move.
I just think the 'Loyalty' title to this promotional campaign is a bit misplaced... if they REALLY wanted to reward all 1 million DA2 buyers for purchasing the game, they could have given them all a brand new piece of DA2 DLC for free...

Then again, I'm not complaining, as I'm among the group who had no intention of buying ME2, but now it looks like I'm going to try it anyway :)

This is the first time I think someone gets rewarded for buying an awesome game (Dragon Age 2 was fantastic in my opinion) by getting another awesome game. Mass Effect 2 costs 60 euros here so that means Bioware just gave me 60 euros + DLC ... and all that because I bought a game I really love.

That's why BioWare is my favorite developer ever.

Thanks a lot Bioware. I was planning on playing ME and ME2 at some point but hadn't gotten around to buying them yet. This was a very nice surprise.

For those of you who got the gift (free ME 2) and don't have Cerberus yet, you probably better buying ME2 right now from the EA Store and discard the gift (if you want Cerberus)!!!

Cerberus is included (for free) with the gift, so everyone who registered the gift to their account, should automatically receive Cerberus with it... unless a friend received the gift, registered the gift code to their account, and then gave you the ME2 code (in which case Cerberus would still be on your friends account)...

I know this is a little harsh, but what exactly are we celebrating? The game has done poorly in sales regardless if it's now sold over a million and is getting some pretty poor reviews.

The fact you threw out this offer for Free ME2 with DA2 after DA2 was barely released is being viewed as a cry for sales, Bioware, and in my opinion, it's kinda unfair for those who paid full price for ME2, which your REAL loyal fans would've already done.

That's just my two cents though.

Define 'poorly' - according to Chris Priestly, the game has reached the 1 million mark faster than DAO. So it can't be doing too bad...

Keep in mind, Origins also did not recieve as much publiclity as DA2 has. And in regards to certain.... marks made by DA2, I am somehow a bit doubtful if that is the real number it has hit. And to my account, they have done this before, why do it now? Offering things for free when you sell something? Something that's worth as much as the item you're buying? It's a marketting technique, a marketting technique you pull out when sales are low and you want them up.

That's just my opinion though, if you guys are happy, whatever floats your boat. I just don't think we have any real reason to celebrate and I honestly think Bioware is in a bit of denial for DA2, but it's still early days, I am still hoping this team I have loved will prove me wrong.

Hi, I have downloaded ME 2 which is great so far. I am not sure how to access Cerberus, there is a connect button but it keeps asking me for code. I have inserted the code for the downloaded game but it says I have already used it. Cerberus does not appear in my registered game content on here. Any ideas what I need to do to access it? or if it was actually included in the gift?  Thanks

I heard you can gift the code a friend, so if anybody wants my code, please pm me.

(I'm from Germany, I don't know if you can download the english version with this code)
