I do think the motivation here is a bit suspicious. Generally speaking you don't need to give away free stuff when your game is selling great, it's when sales are lacking that you need to give away free stuff.
I recently saw on Steam that if someone pre-orders Dungeon Siege 3, they get Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 free to play right now.
OMG DUNGEON SIEGE 3 MUST SUCK! NEEDS EVIL MARKETING PLOY TO SELL!
(btw that was sarcasm if you didn't know).
Maybe sometimes some people just like to do nice things?

People don't go into business to be nice, they go into business to make money. And screwing over a bunch of people to achieve that rarely has stopped anyone. "Niceness" is just a type of PR. The kind where ciggarette companies and their ilk will spend more money on promoting their good deeds than on their good deeds.
This is an entirely different situation for a number of reason:
1) Dungeon Siege III isn't out yet, so no bad reviews to counter.
2) Dungeon Siege II and I are much older, and probably look horrible in the eyes of the modern gamer.
3) Steam is a retailer not the publisher. This deal is to one vendor look better than another, not to make a game purchase look better than it actually is.
Night and day kiddo.

God! BW gives away one of their best games ever made for FREE (did you hear that, for zip, nada, nothing, niente) and still people find room to put a negative spin on things.
I am amazed!
Anyway, great offer BW, nice move.

Now, how about a dlc/patch to randomize DA2 dungeon as well? Would really love to get it. Should be your first priority.
And am I the only one who expect ME3 not to come this soon? Take your time... Make a blast with it. Please don't do a half baked game like DA2. While the story is good, the used environment is a little bit grating. (Meh... I'm always a sucker for good story anyway. So it's good for me for the moment.)

I don't have as extensive a purchase history, but I do have:knacki99 wrote...
Dear Bioware,
have you given a thought to the fact that your most loyal customers are left out of this "sequel celebration"? Everyone who bought ME2 and DA2 is left out of the loop since there is no real reason to get ME2 a second time as DL version. I for one have bought, played and loved most Bioware games at full price:
- Baldurs Gate + Tales of the Sword Coast
- Baldurs Gate 2 + Throne of Baal
- Neverwinter Nights + Expansions
- Knights of the Old Republic
- Jade Empire
- Mass Effect 1 + 2
- Dragon Age Origins + Awakening
- Dragon Age 2
Do I get a lifetime of free DLC for that?
ME1
ME2
DA:O w/Awakenings
DA2
+ Most of the DLCs for these games.
I also purchased a new CPU just to ensure that I could play ME2 w/o lag. This is lemon juice on a papercut for me.

"We were unable to verify that you have activated your Online Pass. Online Pass verification may take up 72 hours to detect. Please make sure you have followed the 3 steps below. If you still receive this message 72 hours after following these steps please contact EA Customer Support."
Any ideas on how to solve this?
EDIT:Actually I have already activated online pass and been playing online since last month when the game was first released, yet it still asks me to wait for another 72 hours(?)!Why's that?!!

Hey I have the exact same problem as you. Unfortunately i do not know how to solve the problem too, I guess the only way to solve this problem is to contact EA. Anybody else have any suggestion to solve this problem ?

Where do you have to use the mass effect 2 code in the eadm
Click on the gear picture in the top right corner. Then click Redeem Game Code in the drop down menu. After putting in the code, you'll be asked to choose a language. After a language is chosen it will go back to the insert code screen. You don't have to put it in again. Just close the redeem product menu and it should appear in your game list.
